Nobody is asking him to do a Sturridge and start shooting from ridiculous position/angle or when the chance isn't on. Suarez is nice example, he scored 10 more goals in single season compared to his best tally in PL. Ronaldo is obvious another example if you compare his PL and Laliga outputs. 

But again, both Surez and Cr scored 30 in PL, compared to Eden 17, I guess he would be around 20 goals in laliga at least.

But Im still not sure why the hell people want Eden to score more. Its not what defines a quality player. CR and Messi completely fucked up the balon dor with all those goals, sure they are fantastic, but they are exception, not rule. Eden is magnificent dribbler, playmaker, good passer and almost never loses the ball. All those are as important as goals in games. Its what makes team tick. Then you have Kantes. Those players do the job so CRs and Messis can even score the goals. Without such players no team would win anything.

I understand media trying to blow the shit out of everything and praise trademark players ala CR to god status, but in forums like this with people who actualy watch football every weekend, why some still focus and talk about Eden needing to score more etc. Football is bigger than just those goals and every fan should know it. 

True that Messi and Ronaldo are more clinical but how many shots you take will inevitably have an effect on  how many goals you score. 

I agree with you about scoring more in la liga.

I also agree that goals shouldn't matter as much as they do nowadays but unfortunately that's how punditry and the majority of footballfans think. 

Goals get you a lot more praise then good performances do. 

I think we talk about Eden needing to score more because we all know how good he really is and his 16 goals don't do justice to the abillity he has.

I agree with that but even if he's in a good position if there's a lot of players in the path of him and the goal he usually won't shoot because there's a high chance of it getting blocked.

Nobody is asking to shoot if there's a whole 'bus' in front of him...more in those situations where there's space and angle to do so. Plus, if you don't shoot, you're never going to score and sometimes you never know if someone does put a block in, it may end up deflecting in etc.

From a supporter point of view, I'm fairly certainly Hazard cannot possibly reach Messi/Ronado's level. He has neither the drive nor the raw talent IMO. Which is ABSOLUTELY fine! As a chelsea supporter, I don't think we could ask for a better player to be honest - and not many are better (much less much better). I say give him a 300k/w and tie him up for life...

From a personal point of view, if Hazard has his own ambitions to become a top3 and challenge CR, Messi like Neymar is doing, then he does need to improve his finishing. I don't believe he can improve it that much tbh. I really really cannot imagine a move to Real or Barca helping him to improve his game given his characteristics as a player.

I know he will largely avoid criticism from here, but his performance was utterly dreadful. And please don´t blame Willian, Pedro, Conte or someone else for his performance. He is the player who is supposed to step up for others, but today he was nowhere to be seen from the start.

Of course I’d personally like him to stay at Chelsea but from Eden’s perspective I’d be thinking about leaving because the club’s lost ambition big time.

Dreadful. Thought he was one of the worst players on the park. Although most of our team could have been up for that award. 

What worried me more was in the last 20 minutes he was up against tired defenders who had thrown a lot into the match he should be smelling blood and going for them, he has all the ability in the world but for someone who continues to say he wants to be a Ronaldo/Messi sort of player deciding games every week, this is maybe why he won’t(hard level to reach anyway but even then look at Neymar?), they would be up against those guys and taking them out to create something or trying to even make stuff happen. He just didn’t want to do anything and it’s not like we’ve never seen this before, fair enough one match but he’s a senior player now and a leader for me, he can do so much better even playing half arsed. Everyone could.

He wasn't good, and that's being said after the game. Good. But the idea along the lines of, 'How come Hazard always escapes fire when we play shit!?!?!?' is stupid. If a player is generally your best player for 7 or 8 out of 10 games, you don't give him the same smacking as the players who go missing 8 out of 10 games, do you? Why would you do that? It isn't 'fair'.

He very rarely actually has bad games, or even average one's, his run of form in the Jose meltdown period was an anomaly, and even then he wasn't as bad as made out. Most games when people think he is underwhelming he is still creating chances and making the team tick and doing the stuff no one really notices.

I get what you're saying but the more you and others mention this, the more it feels like you all want the club to fail. And if you're gonna say about Hazard, then you should apply that on the other good players we have at the club as well. Let's hope they all see the light and leave the club in the summer.

It’s a different case with Eden who is by far the most talented at the club. Only player at the club that has Ballon D’Or level talent. 

I obviously don’t want the club to fail Jason. Just that if I were in Eden’s shoes and had his ambition - I would think twice about signing, or as I’ve mentioned before in this very thread I would demand that the club improve the squad properly to match that ambition. The club’s going downhill. Recognising and acknowledging that does not mean I want to see CFC fail.
