They did miss 2 tho in the Semi shootout, and if it wasn't thanks to Ramos aiming for a pidgeon they may have lost it.

True but at the end of the day, they still won it. And Neuer did manage to save both Ronaldo & Kaka's penalty, even if they were poorly taken.

Yeah but we're playing Bayern, not Germany, the team that missed 2 and i'm sure a German missed at least one of the 2, can't remember who missed em now tho off the top of my head.

Would be great for an English team to beat a German team on pens tho, especially in a UCL Final in Germany.... damn how would that feel.

Here's two videos to keep you going till the game mate.

First was your last cup final.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXYCSHkJyCU

Couldn't find the game where we knocked you out in '05 :( But never fear, here's what happened last time you came up against an English team in the Champions League final.

Enjoy!

After watching that again you realise how much luck Man utd had in that game. how many times did the bar and post save them. hoping we have some luck tomorrow. god i am bricking it now..

Here's a couple of stats on penalties:

1. Bayern have all won 4 previous penalty shootouts in UEFA competitions:

3-1 vs Real Madrid, 11/12 Champions League 2nd Leg Semi Final

5-4 vs Valencia, 00/01 Champions League Final

9-8 vs PAOK FC, 83/84 UEFA Cup 2nd Round

4-3 vs Atvidaberg, 73/74 European Champions Clubs' Cur 1st Round

Source: UEFA

2. Bayern have scored 13 of 15 penalties they have received this season in all competitions. However, they have missed 1 of 2 penalties given to them in the Champions League this season. Robben scored the one against Real Madrid while Gomez missed the penalty against Napoli in the group stage when Bayern played at San Paolo.

3. Bayern have already played out 2 penalty shootouts this season - vs Borussia Monchengladbach in DFB Pokal Semi Final & Real Madrid in Champions League Semi Final - and they won both.

4. Chelsea have suffered defeat in the previous 2 penalty shootouts in UEFA competitions. (Don't think I need to remind who did we lose to.)

5. Chelsea have only won 2 of their previous 9 penalty shootouts in all competitions. Beaten Fulham in the Carling Cup this year & Man United in the 09/10 season Community Shield.

6. Chelsea have scored 7 of the 12 penalties that were given to them in all competitions this season. In the Champions League though, they gotten 3 and while Luiz missed his one against Genk, Lampard netted the other two against Napoli and Benfica.

Average player ratings for the last five games, rated by goal:

1st 142210_thumb.jpgMATA

CHELSEA Average Rating

7.7 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 4

Chelsea's Player of the Season has played a lot of football and was beginning to show some signs of fatigue before bouncing back in recent weeks. Excellent in the FA Cup final and the 6-1 thrashing of QPR when he provided a hat-trick of assists.

2nd 168694_thumb.jpgCOLE

CHELSEA Average Rating

7.3 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Like most of his fellow regular first-teamers, he was rested following the FA Cup final. The left-back is now 31 but remains the Blues' most reliable player and was outstanding in both legs of the semi-final against Barcelona.

3rd 165769_thumb.jpgRIBERY

BAYERN Average Rating

7.0 GOALS: 2

ASSISTS: 3

The pulse of Bayern's offence throughout the season, Ribery ended the campaign on a strong run of form. Regardless of his team's performance he was always sharp, scoring three goals and assisting as many in his final five matches. No stranger to the big stage, he was excellent against Real Madrid.

4th 155599_thumb.jpgKROOS

BAYERN Average Rating

6.8 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 2

One of Bayern's strongest performers this season, the 22-year-old has ended the campaign on a convincing run of form. His creativity led to a few goals, and he and Schweinsteiger effectively nullified the Real Madrid midfield. Kroos could not replicate his Champions League form in the DFB-Pokal final, however, as Dortmund's pressure stifled his passing game.

5th 180244_thumb.jpgDROGBA

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.7 GOALS: 1

ASSISTS: 0

Torres takes the bulk of the workload but Drogba continues to be wheeled out for Chelsea's big games and surprised no one by scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup final. Will be determined to star in what is likely to be his last appearance for the Blues.

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.7 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

Much improved since Di Matteo took over as manager. Has not scored in his last five games but remains an instrumental figure for Chelsea in midfield and found the net against Napoli and Benfica.

7th 182745_thumb.jpgTORRES

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.6 GOALS: 3

ASSISTS: 0

Much better in recent weeks, he bagged a superb hat-trick against QPR. Hasn't scored since, but Chelsea were poor as a team against Newcastle and Liverpool in the league and he smashed the crossbar with a shot against the latter.

8th 163979_thumb.jpgLAHM

BAYERN Average Rating

6.5 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

The captain was often omitted over the last month, both as a means to give him rest and to allow Rafinha and Contento the chance to battle head-to-head for a starting role. When he has played, Lahm has performed well.

= 185861_thumb.jpgLUKAKU

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.5 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

The Belgian has been badly handled since joining Chelsea – should have spent the season out on loan – but impressed in the last game of the season against Blackburn. Still searching for his first Blues goal.

= 185104_thumb.jpgNEUER

BAYERN Average Rating

6.5 CONCEDED: 9

CLEAN SHEETS: 0

As a world class goalkeeper it is of no surprise that Neuer was key to his side's progress to the Champions League final. He made key saves from Cristiano Ronaldo in the first leg, and was the hero in the second leg's penalty shoot-out. Left in the lurch by suspect defending in the DFB-Pokal final, however.

= 175160_thumb.jpgROBBEN

BAYERN Average Rating

6.5 GOALS: 3

ASSISTS: 0

Once the go-to man in Bayern's attack, the Dutchman's form has been good but less spectacular this season. His only cutting edge of late seems to have been shown from the penalty spot - and even there, he missed once in April.

12th 183512_thumb.jpgCECH

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.3 CONCEDED: 4

CLEAN SHEETS: 0

Cech has been handed a rest ahead of the final, with Turnbull playing in Chelsea's last two games. Should be fresh in Munich and has shone in the Blues' biggest matches this season.

= 155602_thumb.jpgBOSINGWA

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.3 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Should start at right-back in the absence of Branislav Ivanovic. He played well in the centre of defence in the second leg of the Barcelona tie but would struggle to cope with the power of Mario Gomez, so it is a relief to see David Luiz passed fit.

= 159683_thumb.jpgGOMEZ

BAYERN Average Rating

6.3 GOALS: 1

ASSISTS: 0

Used only sparingly in the final weeks of the campaign, Gomez found the net just once in his final five games and ended the season as the Bundesliga's second-highest scorer. His pressure and defensive support made a huge difference against Real, but although he scored in the first leg, his finishing left something to be desired.

= 174014_thumb.jpgKALOU

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.3 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

Seems to have an innate ability to get into goalscoring positions but often disappoints when applying the finishing touches. Lacks confidence at times but will always work hard.

= 162122_thumb.jpgMULLER

BAYERN Average Rating

6.3 GOALS: 3

ASSISTS: 1

The Germany international suffered a dip in form in mid-season, but has improved in recent weeks and is getting back to his best just at the right time. Instrumental in Bayern Munich's most recent wins against Stuttgart and Koln.

17th 162102_thumb.jpgSCHWEINSTEIGER

BAYERN Average Rating

6.2 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

The key man for Bayern's midfield. Fittingly, it was the vice-captain who scored the penalty that took the Bavarians to the final, and he was one of the few players to emerge from the DFB-Pokal final with any credit.

18th 106238_thumb.jpgBERTRAND

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Shown some promise as a young deputy to Cole at left-back. Gained plenty of experience during loan spells in the second tier and hasn't looked out of place for the Blues, although he is unlikely to displace the England international any time soon.

= 149767_thumb.jpgCONTENTO

BAYERN Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Like Rafinha, Contento has been afforded more time on the pitch in recent weeks, and has been an average but reliable performer, putting in steady showings without setting the world alight. He will face a new level of challenge in the final.

= 168697_thumb.jpgESSIEN

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

Played well against Blackburn on the final day of the season, but their midfield is probably the worst in the Premier League. Injuries seem to have robbed him of his spark and once devastating physicality.

= 110351_thumb.jpgOBI MIKEL

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Has regained his place in the team as the midfield anchor and played an important role in front of the defence against Barcelona. Unspectacular but growing into Claude Makelele's shoes.

= 138078_thumb.jpgRAFINHA

BAYERN Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

Afforded a little more game time since Bayern's Bundesliga challenge fizzled out. Since coming back into the fold, he has been steady, although it appears that Diego Contento and not Rafinha will replace the suspended David Alaba in the final.

= 154880_thumb.jpgSTURRIDGE

CHELSEA Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 1

ASSISTS: 0

Scored goals for fun during the first half of the season as a winger but appears to have lost interest as the season has progressed. Handed a chance to impress when Di Matteo rested the likes of Mata in recent games but hasn't taken it.

= 151273_thumb.jpgUSAMI

BAYERN Average Rating

6.0 GOALS: 0

A forgotten man, the Japanese youngster has made the majority of his Bundesliga appearances in the final weeks of the season but has been largely anonymous.

25th 141264_thumb.jpgMALOUDA

CHELSEA Average Rating

5.9 GOALS: 1

ASSISTS: 1

Substituted in the last game of the Premier League season with a hamstring problem which Di Matteo insisted was purely precautionary. Only a late substitute in the FA Cup final but has a good chance of starting in Munich if fit due to the absence of Ramires and Raul Meireles.

26th 126915_thumb.jpgFERREIRA

CHELSEA Average Rating

5.8 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Brought back into the fray by Di Matteo and has fared adequately, but rustiness is an issue and he was not called upon against Barcelona or in the FA Cup final. Unlikely to feature.

= 174407_thumb.jpgOLIC

BAYERN Average Rating

5.8 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 1

Once Bayern's lucky charm, the Croat has descended into a squad player in the last months, and not a good one at that. Despite his double against Marseille, Olic has performed appallingly in his most recent cameos and starts, missing a handful of sitters.

28th 164128_thumb.jpgBOATENG

BAYERN Average Rating

5.3 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Usually a solid performer at the back, the former Manchester City man's form has suffered recently. Had an absolute nightmare against Dortmund, conceding a penalty soon after Bayern had dragged themselves back into the match, and could have done better at the Bernabeu.

= 165544_thumb.jpgPRANJIC

BAYERN Average Rating

5.3 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

Has wound down the last of his Bayern Munich days ignominiously, putting in limp, unspectacular performances in the centre of midfield when called upon to cover for his team-mates.

= 151979_thumb.jpgTYMOSHCHUK

BAYERN Average Rating

5.3 GOALS: 0

ASSISTS: 0

The 33-year-old has plenty of experience, but being restricted to mostly bit-part roles, the Ukrainian has rarely impressed. Looks set to take his place in the final due to Bayern's defensive absentees through suspension, and he could be severely exposed.

31st 106150_thumb.jpgTURNBULL

CHELSEA Average Rating

5.0 CONCEDED: 5

CLEAN SHEETS: 0

Had already conceded three goals against Liverpool before a dreadful attempted clearance left Jonjo Shelvey shooting at an open goal for the fourth. Enjoyed a quieter day against Blackburn, but Chelsea will hope the goalkeeper is not needed in Munich.

Interesting.

22 Bundesliga titles

18 DFB Pokal cup wins

4 champions league titles

:P

Anyway, lets just drop this ;)

Yeah it's so hard to win a Bundesliga isn't it, when you have teams like Man United, Arsenal, City in your league, wow i feel so sorry for you.
