Kezza 1,965
This is bad! Really Bad!Our whole season is based around teams getting dicked a game or 2 before us, then all of a sudden they show up big time when they play us.Wigan 4 Newcastle 0A week later: Newcastle 2 Chelsea 0Don't think we can judge the final based off this game..they are in the final for a reason. BlueLyon 9,359
Barca:Real 1:2Barca:Chelsea 2:2---Rivals cause huge dissapointment in players after defeats. And 5:2 is not something Lahm and co. wouldnt careBut every match is new and there are 50:50 chancesThis game realy shows nothing for CL, but I am still more pleased Bayern lost 5:2 than in case they would win 5:2... Ollie 4,400
A loss is a loss granted but 5-2, in a final, with their best team? wow.... we can all debate if this will be bad for us or not but i think it can only be good for us surely. If Bayern won 5-2 we'd all be laying bricks in the toilet but now they've lost and in style, their heads will have gone down slightly and ours lifted big time. This is a fantastic result for us. It doesn't mean we will win the final but it certainly gives us more confidence and therefore imo more chance. They have no chance to bounce back and get themselves in top form for the final now, the final will be on the back of a hammering in a cup final. Love it.Dortmund have always been my favourite team in Germany, have an old shirt of theirs too from '97 ish. Dortmund now beat Bayern 3 times this season. manpe 10,861
And one more positive is that Robbie saw how Dortmund tactically masterminded the game. Hopefully he learned a lot and it will benefit us.
Ollie 4,400
Di Matteo’s tactical preparations for the Champions League final have already started and he will fly to Berlin on Saturday to watch Bayern in the German Cup final.Jupp Heynckes’ team face Borussia Dortmund at the Olympic Stadium and Di Matteo will make the dash on a private jet.Must've thoroughly enjoyed his trip
Strike 7,527
Not so much that, more the dramatic nature of how we lost it.There is even more of a 'sense of occasion' for this game though. The players were peaking that season under Jose/Grant, but it was by no means their last chance to win it. This final is an accumulation of all the injustices this core group of players have suffered in this competition. It’s insulting when Bayern fans claim they want it just as much as us. Because when you say that you are speaking on behalf of the club and the players, as a collective.spot on about that. all those years we lost due to ghost goals, penalty shootouts and the ref, we should have won atleast once. And i guess this is the last chance for the core group of Lampard Essien Cech and Drogba. If they dont win this, they will regret having reached 2 finals + 3 semis and never winning it
Krypt 241
Just seen the score Bayern will be up for this Evan more now. They have home advantage. I just hope we Gove it all. Shane 2,275
Really starting to hit home now that we're in the Champions League final, funny how probably the worst team of the Roman era has the chance to do what no other team has done.Come on Chels! Predator 114
Is it strange that this game amused me? Its as if Bayern were day dreaming about the final during the entire game. Anyway, I don't think this will effect the final so much. I already expected Dortmund to win of course not by 5-2. Which the last two goals Bayern could have easily avoided. Anyway, I still don't think that this game will effect the final match at all, I just hope this serves as a wake up.

I just hope Boateng gets his shit together tbh

If this was a dress rehearsal for the CL, playing softly is not the way to prepare for the big show. That's a good way to reinforce bad habits. Habits I hope Bayern reinforced very strongly today. Madmax 9,219
Those saying Chelsea are better than Dortmund - come off it. Hopefully the players themselves don't take too much cognizance of last night's game and instead concentrate their energies on delivering one perfect collective performance on Saturday night. We will need it, be sure.

Now, what's he going to do? Go left? What if Neuer anticipates that and goes left? Nightmare.
