There's a very good reason why Mourinho would absolutely love to sign Bale. Not trying to be reactive here in the aftermath of the game, especially considering the goalkeeping mistakes, but Bale generally delivers whenever he's fit and whenever stakes are high. He belongs to that select group of players that are capable of something special.

Would love to have him at Chelsea despite his injury record and his age.

Once Salah was off, it was obvious Real will win it, no surprises. Salah isnt Pool playmaker, but his impact is just giant when he is on the pitch. Everytime he gets benched, Pool plays twice worse because there is no pressing in attack, less speed, less movement. Tonight, maybe Pool wouldnt hold on to, but if Salah was on pitch longer, they would be the first to score.

But then there is Karius, worst performance from GK ever lol.

Yeah thought the same (wrote so), and agree that in all likelihood they would have lost anyway: they needed Salah on the pitch at his normal and their GK at his best.

Pretty much the opposite happened.
