Commentators often forget he’s been with the club since early on as well, perhaps due to the amount of loans.

Been great through the Euros, made a few errors yesterday but stepped out well otherwise.

Christensen only had 2 loan spells and it was only at one club, TBF.

When you said the commentators often forget he's been with the club since early on, do you mean coming through the academy? If so, then not sure if they really forget because we bought Christensen from Brondby and he was already 16 years old then. Different to the likes of Mount and James, who really came through our academy.

No, not through the academy, but he's been brought 'up' by the club from a young age, something we had to constantly hear we did not do.

I still consider it an achievement.

He was promoted from the academy but he didn't come through it from an early age. There's a difference TBF.

Talk about nitpicking 😂

I mean firstly who cares, he’s still homegrown and still counts as an academy player… regardless of if he was here since age 8 or age 15.

I mean we picked JT up from West Ham when he was 14 or 15 so does that mean there is also a difference for him? Or anyone else?

Essentially the above, didn’t claim it was an academy product etc but we brought him up and now he’s a good player. It just annoys me to no end that the commentator and media bias sometimes against us when it comes to bringing youth through.

in other news, solid from AC today.

Important to tie him down. Other than Azpi and probably Trev he can play as the middle CB. Also with Rüdiger and Thiago Silva possibly leaving in summer, we would be in an grave predicament if we had been unable to sign him up.
