I think the only way Juve would come to an agreement with us is if, we offered a player plus cash. We can't afford a straight out fee (FFP).

we spent in excess of 80mil this summer (32 costa, 30 cesc, 17 luis, 10 remy). infact we have spent around 90mil pounds. so i dont think FFP will stop us in any way to buy pogba if we really want him.

right now all we need to be "perfect" is to add a CM like pogba. we have shown to be a bit circumspect defensively.

also, we will be making a lot of money buy selling players we dont need next summer.

salah+schurrle (atleast 25mil), cech (10mil), bertrand (8mil), moses+marin+kakuta+mikel=15mil. this itself is in excess of 55mil. we have other fringe players like thorgan, piazon, romeu, mvg who we can sell too.

for me, currently, the priority has to be a CM and a CB. we can give zouma a proper run in before splashing money on a CB but a CM like pogba however costly should be a must.

You don't pay 'max' for anything, it entirely depends on many factors as well. With Pogba that is hype, marketing, age, ability, attraction to other top clubs(MU, Real...etc) linked. It is all good and say we will only pay 30-50m, but Real will come in and do 80m. We will lose then, so it all depends on if we want the player badly enough to match it.

Personally I don't think he is worth 80m.

If Real want him, they will get him. Simple as that. I don't think we desperately need him, rather try and get Varane/Reus
