Ampadu should have travelled instead of Drinkwater/Bakayoko. He's already a better player than both of those guys.

I think it is the right call to send him on loan as he needs games ... With Kante, Kovasic, Mount (he will get games), Jorginho, Barkley, RLC we have the midfield covered (I feel) and Ampadu wouldnt get much games this season.

Yes he is a better player than Drinkwater.Bakayoko :)

Yes, I saw Frank's quotes about Ampadu and he is absolutely right. The lad could really benefit from a good quality loan where he could play week in week out. I hope its a Premiership team rather than Championship as I think he is already ready for the PL but the most important thing is the kid getting chances.

I think Championship would be an ideal place ... Less pressure and more opportunity (if he is really is good) as compared to the PL. Like u said, he needs more chances ... day in day out to be considered next season at the Bridge.

I would agree with this, I'd much rather see him playing in the Championship and playing regularly every week, getting that rhythm and experience to his game that he needs compared to possibly a Premier League role where he's not a regular fixture. The club also needs to make a decision on where they see his future, whether its as a defender or midfielder because ideally he should be playing for a team that need him for the position we see him likely to develop in.

Its a serious question, why is the Supercup symbol on the wall?

I want to say that's the Intertoto Cup he won with West Ham in 1999 but that doesn't look like the trophy..

His technique is sooo good. Hopefully, players that never score like Kovacic can learn from Lamps

It's alright showing the technique but Frank had a 6th sense when it came to finding space. Just constantly looking for the pockets to glide into

Didn't want to derail the discussion in the Super Frank thread so I put it here

Just came across of this rare complete collection of his West ham goals. You already can see the scoring instinct and match intelligence at 18-21 y.o. Having seen most of his 211 Chelsea goals a dozen times, this really caught my eye how mature he already was taken all those excellent finishes. a few absolute crackers as well, worth watching till the end

Lets hope he is as good as rookie manager as he was as rookie player.

Di Canio set him up with some great crosses. I so hope we can get that level from our right side this year.

Frank Lampard to trim his Chelsea squad by sending highly-rated defensive duo out on loan

https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/23/frank-lampard-trim-chelsea-squad-sending-highly-rated-defensive-duo-loan-10447755/

Frank Lampard will allow England U21 defenders Fikayo Tomori and Jake Clarke-Salter to leave Chelsea on loan for the upcoming season after assessing his defensive options.

It looks as though Lampard has settled on having David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma as his four specialist central defenders next season. Everton had expressed an interest in re-signing Zouma following a successful loan spell at Goodison Park last season but Lampard is keen to retain the Frenchman’s services. With Cesar Azpilicueta also able to deputise in central defence, neither Tomori nor Clarke-Salter will be required next season, despite both being well thought of at Stamford Bridge.
