Also, I feel Chelsea are not attracting too many players, lately.

One may ask why ?

Managers are not knocking on Roman´s door either.

However, If I had spent 1 billion on something, I would not want too many people telling me what to do either.

I just pray something works out for the club, soon. Otherwise, Chelsea are in deep troubles, I feel.

What do you mean by "not attracting too many players" and "Managers are not knocking on Roman´s door", it sounds like some nice slogans and not much more. The only thing that realy happend lately is that Pep chose Bayern. "Players"? dont know anything about that, maybe your talking about Taison and Aspas?

I also dont think something got to happen soon, the club's goals for the next months are:

1. Get a CL spot. Something we're still favourits to get, with this squad too.

2. Sign a new-very good manager (Mourinho, Klopp, Simeone), probably need to happen until June.

If we wont be able to get those two goals, than we're probably in deep troubles for me.

Speaking about slogans. I see two above.

Have you read the sport pages, lately ?

Many explain why managers are skeptical to sign for Chelsea.

As for CL spot, I hope you are correct & the club secures CL for next year.

Currently, the way I see it. It won´t be an easy task with the thin squad.

Why should i care about sport pages? the reasons for not wanting to come to manage Chelsea are clear to everyone, but until it will happen and Roman will not be able to find a new, promising/proved and desired manager like he did so far, i dont see a reason to panic. Its only January, did you expect we'll reveal a new manager by now?

When a manager comes to Chelsea he also knows he's gonna get load of money and have a chance to prove himself in one of the best clubs in the world, those are two things that are hard to resist. Im sure that there are top managers that will never agree to come to Chelsea, but im sure there are some who will.

what 2 slogans? you dont think those are our goals for now?

To lose the CL spot theres got to be two teams that are better than us, i dont see how Spurs+ Arsenal/Everton are better. What im saying is that for now, we are in the best position, but i didnt say it will be easy.

Thin is relative. Imo we have at least the 3rd best squad in epl. So top 3 is minimum requirements

No, I do not expect any new manager in January. I´d rather see new players asap.

The top managers Jose, Pep are not in it for the money. They do have plenty.

As you see those 3 teams are not better than Chelsea, perhaps you have a point. We need to wait & see.

Nonetheless anything can happen. As I see it. The team is in need to buy more players now. If no one comes in, then watch out.

Thin means. There is hardly anyone sitting on the bench to relief the starters.

Have we not seen Mata for example not played well in the odd game ? We all know, what happened, then.

Chelsea do look fantastic at times but more consistency is needed & the killer instinct.

Well, we will see on Sunday against Arsenal whether the team is way better.

Expect the usual, we get lots of chances, fuck them up the arsenal get one and score, benitez makes his first substitution at the 90th minute.

1/4 of chelsea fans blame other fans for booing, 1/4 of fans blame players for not showing up, 2/4 of fans blame benitez for fucking up with subs.

Normal everyday drama at chelsea :D

Well said, That´s exactly what I am afraid of. Chelsea just attacks gang-ho style & shitty Arssens come down once but score.

Ok, controversial maybe.

I think this is a season everyone knows was going to be a transition season. We switched managers, played half of the season - and yes Henrique, we played it all with a U23 team practically- You are correct-they can not be expected to be consistent, As a dutch trainer - I can't by God remember his name - said: nobody has ever won any prices with a youth team. this does not mean some haven't been exciting :-)

Also and perhaps even most important: we went into the new season without any striker what so ever. there was really nobody that could hold the line consistently. The stability in the entire team was gone. Above that, this happened in the middle of a chance process designed to give us a different kind of football. Some of the team, just being the World Champions try to overcompensate. I really think this happened. conclusion: An extra imbalance in essentially a superb team. that

Now we also come to the conclusion that we are too thin a team (what was really self evident - check our posts even in the summer). Is the recipe to get new 'force' so incredibly good tasting actually, considering our situation?

Maybe we should consider the dangers of a short term vision, even as fans. I really like some of Bushmans posts, because there is no denying them. We need a vision. Everyone knows that. This is what makes people mock us sometimes (not that I care), we need to be for real. We got a striker that is doing well on loan, we got a CM that is kicking it in Germany, we got english talent doing great as well. We do need our youth, they can be great. We need experience too. Actually: to get a youth that loves actually really Chelsea, we need a mix of both being played in the season. Without a long term plan/vision, all the wrong managers will be knocking on our door. How did we even consider a PR disaster as Rafa. He could be ok as a trainer, but just see what happens atmosphere-wise at the Bridge. If we want quality, also in a manager, he has to know he will end up in 'an ecology' that supports a long term view.

But: if they panick too much now and buy too much or the wrong players with a gazillion of pounds, we might not get any of it all: stability, growth as a club, silverware and an atmosphere that lifts youngster to new heights.

By wise, I'd say and bring back some of the young ones. Think of the long term. Also, buy very strategically and sensible (eg: Ba was super sensible I think). If it is a big buy, make it count. No in betweens, but world class.

Hey It's friday and I'm baked :-) sorry for the rant :-)

As I see it.

The management knew Torres can not be trusted to replace Drogba. Sturridge under RDM was not getting many chances either. Lukaku was shipped out. There are Chelsea´s strikers. As it turns out, Ferda is a flop, as we all knew, the others are gone.

The midfield is depleted. Boys are playing in Africa.. Has anyone in the management noticed it ?

Currently, the club have got some fine players out on loans. How nice. Meanwhile, Rafa turns around looking for players to subbed & the bench is empty & the crowds are booing, instead. What a place to be. I am not surprised one bit that Pep decided to learn German , instead.

Strange. I relate to your views :-)
