They have had to spend big money to sign AWB and Daniel James while we just use our talents from the academy to improve the squad and have not spent a cent (Pulisic aside, of course). Hopefully I don't regret saying that long term wise.

Ironic thing is in 2010 we should have bulked the squad up but trusted youth (the likes of Van Der Vaart, Milner, Luiz, Neymar and David James as backup to Cech were available) but in 2017 we had decent youth but bulked up the squad. 8 minutes ago, Jason said: The situation with United delights me the most. Given the dick measuring contest United/Liverpool fans and the media are doing with the AWB vs Trent hype it would be very satisfying if Reece comes from nowhere and gazumps them both (like a RB version of Conte catching a nation hyping up a Pep vs Jose title race napping) . For me Genk is the best place now if they keep their attacking style like in the last season, Ianis going to simply thrive in that system. He didn’t miss his official debut, came on 15 mins to go and scored the winning goal 2mins later 👍 petre.ispirescu

Is he really Swedish next big thing? He and Mattias Svanberg (20yo CMF at Bologna) are our two best young players, yes Nygren has massive upside pacey, good height (1.84m), cannon shot deffo one to watch he just turned 18 a couple weeks ago he tore up the Allsvenskan (our version of the EPL) when he came in last year, 15 games, 6 goals, 4 assists so I am glad to see him go as he played for one of our team's (AIK here in Stockholm) biggest rivals, IFK Göteborg I would have LOVED to have him play for AIK, but he is a Göteborg (Gothenburg) lad, has been with them and a feeder team since he was 5 years old. He also is superb on our U17 and then U19 national teams and plays a lot of striker there 27 games 11 goals, 11 assists at national team level for IFK, he played (since 2017, partly at lower level and then main) 52 games and scored 41 goals Racing Genk is a great move for him the big 5 Belgian Jupiler League teams (Anderlecht, KRC Genk, Club Brugge KV, Standard Liège, and KAA Gent ) are superb at player development Hamilton
