what if Dortmund has a bad first semester and in order to earn some money and get some new signings they decide to sell Lewa in the january window? why would they prefer to wait his contract to expire and get nothing from one of the most rated forwarders in Europe now is beyond my comprehension.

Lewandowski acting a proper cunt here. He had his pick of all the top teams in Europe but he declines them all in favour of joining Bayern Munchen and is so desperate to join them he's willing to wait a year to get his preferred move. A low blow to everyone at Dortmund and especially to Jürgen Klopp who made him the player he is now.

I share the same opinion, too. No doubt he's a top striker, but he is just a big time pussy, like a girl cheated by her rich husband, but willing to stay with him so she doesn't have to come back to her normal life.

Lewandowski is afraid of a big challenge, he's afraid of being the man that everybody counts on scoring goals. He's afraid of going out of Germany and be a flop like Torres. Everybody will say "yea', we knew this polish guy was shit, all he did in Dortmund was because of guys like Reus, Gotze, Gundogan that were the heart of the team.". Instead, Lewandowski choses to stay in Germany, a league he knows and a league Bayern dominated in the last year and will dominate in the next years imo. I think being a striker for Bayern right now is the easiest job a professional footballer coud have - great team, with a solid back line and guys like Schweinsteiger, Martinez, Robben, Ribery and Gotze will easily bring you the ball in front of the net; all you have to do is score from 6, 10, 11 meters. Even Danny Graham would do a great job there. And Lewandowski knows this. Why go elsewhere and have pressure on your shoulders when you can go to Bayern as a Bundesliga superstar and know you'll be in the team that will dominate Germany since Dortmund will be weakend by your departure and teams like Schalke, Leverkusen or Stuttgart won't get near the title. And the pressure won't be on you for sure as it wasn't on Gomez and Mandzukic. Although they scored lot of goals in the last years, they were never credited as Bayern's engine. Robben was, Muller was, Ribbery was, Schweinsteiger was. So Lewandowski will live a happy life in Munchen, without the pressure he'll have if playing for United or Chelsea.

The next thing Lewandowski will benefit of is the money he'll get when he's coming in Munich as a free agent. Big time money, instead of paying 35-40 million for him, Bayern assured months ago Lewandowski's account will look beaufiful if he's coming in Munich as a free agent. He's agent confirmed this two or three months ago - he said something like: "Robert won't sign another contract with Dortmund. Blaczikowski and Piszcek were satisfied with the small amount of money Dortmund gave them when they signed the new contract, but we aren't. In Bayern will be given 10 times of that if Robert will go there as a free agent."

Good striker, will be even great with Bayern, but a big time pussy for me. Glad he isn't coming here. I'd rather sign a guy like Lamps that wants to stay here for another season, instead of going to Los Angeles for a fortune.

Because in this transfer saga, there is an issue bigger than money. Dortmund is the only german club which can fight against Munich's fraudulent hegemony. However, Bayern cynically stabbed them a few weeks ago by buying Gotze ; the player which kinda symbolised Dortmund. And the worst is that, because of the buyout-clause, Dortmund hadn't even their say in it.

Now, Munich wants to strike again and "steal" them another of their best players. Dortmund cannot afford to lose their two best players in a sole mercato, especially losing them to their rivals. It would be a big blow on a sportive aspect — but it would be an even bigger blow regarding "Public Relation". If Dortmund surrender to Munich, they would look weak because they bowed once again to their rival.

You know, let me tell you a story. But bare in mind it is ONLY MY OPINION. Don't know if this is true, but this is what I feel about Gotze and Lewandowski going to Bayern. Let's go back in 2004 when Dortmund were in banktrupcy - they were broke and had no money, they were on the verge of losing all the players because they were not able to pay the salaries. Don't know the rules, but they were about to be relegated or dissolved, until Bayern came and helped them with €2m. Remarkably, it was not revealed until early last year, when Hoeness brought it up at a supporters' meeting. With the two clubs embroiled in a title race at the time, there were allegations in the German media that he had revealed it to undermine Dortmund. Uli Hoeness said - "It was a critical situation for Borussia Dortmund. When they couldn't even pay their salaries we thought we should help. I'm a big fan of tradition in sport and I think it was the right thing to do.". The loan was interest free and Bayern agreed a schedule whereby Dortmund had nine months, until June 2005, to pay it back in full. The first €1.5m came back after two months; the rest of it later.

Even though Dortmund returned the money, I think, and I will repeat myself again, it is only my opinion, I think now is THE REAL PAYBACK TIME. Hoeness said they did this for the sake of sport. Bla, bla, there was an interest there for sure. I think they said something like this: "Ok, here we go. Can you get the money to pay the salaries in time? You won't. Let's have a deal. We'll give you the money, you will return to us in 9 months, but there is a condition: when you'll be having a real superstar in your team, he comes to us. When the time will come, we'll talk about a transfer. Otherwise the deal is off."

You probably think - Ok, payback time, but this was in 2004, why didn't Bayern took some players from Dortmund in 2006, 2007, maybe 2008? Why did they waited until now? Well, they took Frings and Dortmund have departed with some good players since then, such as Pienaar, Metzelder, Petric, Frei, but not Bayern material. I think Munich waited for the right moment and they struck. Gotze exploded in the last years, don't you think they were aware of his buyout clause? They were, but they knew Gotze must go to Bayern. And Lewandowski - he's only a year left in his contract. Every big club would renew his contract with 3 years before it ends. But, as Gotze, he needs to go to Bayern. He's still a pussy in my eyes, but this is the deal.

Dortmund isn't happy about this, but it is a matter of honor now. You saved me, ok. Have Gotze, have Lewandowski, we'll consider ourselves even. NOT A FACT. MY OPINION!

^ not true at all. the people now operating at Dortmund are completely different to those in 2004. there is surely no agreement of this sort. also, BVB didnt give Götze to them...bayern just paid the release clause and thats it. also now the same...BVB doesnt sell Lewandowski to Bayern. his contract runs out and he will go there for free. dont see any relations to what happened in 2004 to what is happening now.

Chelsea miss out on Robert Lewandowski

Lewandowski is refusing to consider a move elsewhere, so Dortmund are prepared to let him see out his contract and leave on a free transfer next year.

Klopp said: “It is a known fact that Robert is going to play for Bayern after the upcoming season. Now the only question is how to shape the time until then. That is our commitment to ensure that we will have a more competitive team in the upcoming season.

“Up to a certain point we were with Robert’s desire for change and were ready to talk. But nothing happened so we had to eventually say a sale now no longer works for us.

“And now we want to prove that, with a quality player like Robert, we can be successful in the coming year.”

He is gone for good. Klopp confirmed. Glad it's finally over, at least.
