Bosnian Blue 2,471
One of those games who could have gone one way or another. Take a lesson from today and move on.Credit to our fans. They were absolutely amazing, loved every second of it.
BlueLion. 21,491
Yes, our away support were again fantastic. Obviously its biased coming from a Chelsea fan, but I would say our away support is definitely amongst the best.
Nic! 301
I don't think Lukaku played much worse than any other player on the field from the point when he came on. He had some pretty good first touches and in almost every attack Lukaku was involved, Chelsea kept the ball. I know he didn't make any runs or create any chances, but I think he just listened to the instructions from AVB to stay close to the sideline.Give the guy a break. You really expect it's easy as an 18 year old to come in at Old Trafford 3-1 behind? It's pretty naive to think that he would've turned the game upside down.I'm not saying he should be a starting XI. But I think he deserves a spot on the bench once per two games or so and then get a few minutes. Just like AVB is doing at the moment. If we write off young talent so quickly, we'll never produce/develop potential stars. Edited September 18, 2011 by Nic!
magicrico 175
Lukaku will be loaned out, I have no doubt about it...Replying to your above post, I can't say i thought he looked good at all. This is based on what I have seen, I obviously will give him time, but having said that, he looked scared, and his touch wasn't good.
nullabletype 987
and who said that it dint affect rooney... did u say what he did wen he went one on one with cech late in the match... normally he would ve closed his eyes and scored that one but could not because confidence takes a hit.. i myself am a striker and play for a club here so i kinda of know how crappy u feel wen u miss sitters... and if u really feel that torres' confidence would ve built up instead of taken a hit their is absolutely no point in talkin because i feel completely different..My point is I don't think anything about Torres's confidence, because I have no way of knowing. I was playing devils advocate when I opposed you.I really doubt, Rooney played Berbatov in because he'd lost confidence. It was a more tactically sound ball to play, which was only kept out because Cole barely made it back.
Rambo 1,729
I'm 28 minutes into the game..away support is making me proud! Still baffled at the Ramires chance..I wonder if Danny could've burried it if Rambo left it for him? Just curious.

dodojojo 510
Watching replay on Fox network tv now. Oh my god, that 3rd goal was so awful to watch again. How the hell did Phil Jones, the freaking center half, run through the entire Chelsea midfield and defense? The boy is fast, very, very fast. But he got very little opposition as he built up steam towards the box.
TacticalBlues 2,817
"Chelsea's fans singing 'We're gonna win the league' at the final whistle, drowning out the 70,000- plus home support, despite suffering a defeat that had been on the cards since early in the first half. Grillinnap 129
We had United on the ropes, just couldn't land damaging blows. I really felt like crying when Torres totally blew his second goal. It sucked the life out of me when I was ready to jump for joy. I hate United. Those offside-scoring cunts. Actually, the only time they were on-side was when Berbatov almost scored. Edited September 18, 2011 by Grillinnap

Ollie 4,400
We were just so unlucky, we started well when Ramires had an effort very early but then Man Utd just got so much luck, we all know they are a lucky team but today took the absolute biscuit! Obviously we all know what happened, first goal offside, second goal offside, although a great strike he shouldn't have been able to get the opportunity for the run and shot and the third goal was via one of the luckiest ricochets you'll ever see. Ramires missed a sitter which woulda made it 1-1 and i'm sure that was the biggest moment in the game. Torres was great and got a great goal and then missed an open goal but after that first half, we were never really gonna get anything were we? Man Utd are just having one of those starts and we had one of those games but the performance was excellent. There's are lot's of positives to take from the game because we really took the game to them and we looked very dangerous. Torres looks sharp again and we attacked very well. The downsides are that we were way too open and coulda conceded 6 and we looked rather weak, especially against Nani. We're not usually as weak as that, certainly when we had Ballack and Essien. Mikel was needed today imo ahead of Meireles. All in all Utd probably deserved 3goals or even more but so did we and we'll go back to London feeling hugely hard done by. Roll on 2 home games against Fulham and Swansea where we stuff both I still have a very good feeling about this season because any other day we woulda won, it was simply just one of those days. We'll get them back definitely. In Andre and Nando (and the rest of course) we trust. Heads up!

Sky hate ChelseaNot just sky, every tabloid is going to get on this like vultures.Daily mail call that the worse miss in the history of Premier League. Nothing on Rooney's penalty miss though. But again, these stupid journos are the same ones who hand the title to teams that win their first few games in style. Last year it was Chelsea by September and this season its Man Utd. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2038929/Fernando-Torres-sinking-private-hell-open-goal-miss--Martin-Samuel.html
