didierforever 7,349
Cant stand fans who say that Mata should be benched or sold and shit. go fuck yourselves he was our best player for two years and deserves bit more than that. Great suport you give yeah :/---Sorry for this rage but what is wrong is wrong.chill dude. he ll be back. jose has said EXACTLY what he wants from mata. that is better workrate and better defensive display. he has not minced any words in doing so. it is upto mata now to change himself a little. become more of a complete player. chase after balls when we lose it and get it back and things like the man city goal, where he simply let yaya toure run free into our box, should not happen.jose is making a more complete team and wants mata to become a more complete player so that his defensive liabilities dont cut off his attacking brilliance. close your eyes, TRUST IN JOSE and let things be. Great suport you give yeah :/---Sorry for this rage but what is wrong is wrong.Mata isn't part of Jose's plans, you've got to learn to accept that. Mata is a better player than Oscar at the moment but he'll never be the #10 Jose wants him to be. He's not built for defensive work and he'll never be as fast as Oscar when moving with the ball. Nobody here wants him gone but I honestly don't see him as part of our team past next season.

bushman 2,043
If Jose didn´t think Mata is part of his plans, then why didn´t he sell him & bought somebody else ?Is this the way to deal with players ?Let him sit around, then tell him to play a different, adapt or I will bench you. To me, to deal with players this way & Mata is no ordinary player, is arrogant. xPetrCechx
ZOS 580
I don't have a problem with jose benching Mata (he has backed his decision with a very persuasive argument, IMO) but beside making his point about the decision, why hammer the lad with public criticism? why say Oscar is the number 10 and Mata has to adopt playing the inverted winger role? Why mention the two players in a comparative way?

How and when did he compare?
bushman 2,043
To motivate Mata to work harder? Mata works very hard by sitting on the bench.
ZOS 580
To motivate Mata to work harder? how did that work for Casillas and Pepe? ... I'm sure that's the excuse but ... we'll see, I guess
mediator 2,026
and creativityThat's the part where i don't agree. In terms of creativity, he is way behind Mata. When Oscar creates, it's for him to take a shoot. But for the rest, he is a harder worker.

In Madrid there was huge issues and fighting in the dressing room and you have no idea how much politics there is there, even among players. And, tbf for Jose, neither of the was good enough to be in the Madrid starting XI.Mata is a professional, there is nothing personal between him and Jose. He will either step-up and prove that he can be a vital part of Jose's system or he will leave, it's that simple. Barbara

Just that most fans couldn't bare to face that 2nd option you said because Mata was our best player in the last 2 years.

The fight, discontentment was created by Jose because he benched Casillas. Now, you want Mata to adapt to a different role or hit the road ?
