Cech's helmet 220
I hate it when Moruinho says he doesn't want Mata to leave. he's been saying that for a while now. he also said he doesn't want KDB and Essien to leave. I'm starting to doubt what he's on this year, because it's no brainer some players have been treated like crap this year. those 3 didn't get a fair chance to compete for their places. Lukaku was going on the same road as Mata and KDB if he stayed.I still can't believe Jose never tried Oscar in CM, what do Ramires and Lampard offer that Oscar doesn't? he passes better than both and he tackles just as much Ramires does. like someone said a couple of pages ago, it's called compensation. you play a creative player and use his full offensive ability and you lose a bit of the tracking back/pressing enigma that Jose has in mind.Mata was injured in pre season, and I'm starting to feel that destroyed his career here. t1mb3r, lionsden, Vybz Kartel and 1 other

Popular Post! pachman40 357 Posted January 22, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted January 22, 2014 I would laugh so hard if this theatre was only to mess with Utd after their summer of transfer failings, them just missing out on another top class player would crush their morale even more. This is exactly what I've been thinking for the last few days. We're just paying them back for the Rooney stuff from the summer. Mata to United shouldn't happen for less than 60 million for the simple fact that they are United. No excuses. Cech's helmet 220
Keep in mind this is a club who sold Sturridge, loaned the likes of Moses and Benayoun to top 4 rivals. not to forget buying a 50 million pound flop. if you think we wouldn't sell Mata to utd, then i got sum bad nuwz brahz Chelsea?, lionsden and t1mb3r
Eden 3
I don't believe this will go through, Mourinho has been more adamant about Mata staying than KDB. He said that if Mata asked for a transfer he'd tell the board to say no, if he was to do a 180 on this it'd look awful. Mata I still feel is the better number 10, carried us for two seasons and Oscar hasn't exactly lit the world on fire of late.No way we sell him to Manchester United, even if it involves getting Rooney. I don't want Mata sold at all, it's not Mata FC it's Chelsea FC. However we shouldn't be looking to sell top players, arguably a top five Number ten of the past few years to a direct rival. Do you seriously believe that if Jose shifted Oscar to the deeper role Mata would get a look in? Hazard would probably get the No.10 role while Willian and Schurrle would flank him.Jose wants high pressers with intense work rate in his band of 3 behind the striker and Mata does not fit the bill.Mata was always going to get sold it was just a question of when not if. That display vs Soton did not do him any favours either.
manpe 10,861
I think this is a rhetorical question. Of course he has played there before. He was a defensive right winger in his Benfica days, just when Jesus came in 2009. He implemented that 4-1-3-2 formation with Javi Garcia as a DM, Rami as a RW, Di Maria LW, Aimar the playmaker and Saviola and Cardoso the two center forwards. He's played there for Chelsea several times too. Now if you say he looks bad when playing there (wich is the other meaning I understand from your question), than this is another topic of discussion. But, yes, Rami is a winger too.Yeah, my response was aimed at you hinting that Rami can play on the wing without it affecting his performance. Vybz Kartel 1,613
Thank you Juan for the great times, who can forget your first goal against Norwich after comin on as a sub, the wonderful goal against Arsenal even thgh we lost 5-3, the wonderful turn against Newcastle to set up Drogba,s goal, the goals against spurs at WHL when we were losing 2-1, the 87th min goal against the scum united which sealed champions league football for this season and most important of all the perfect corner kick assist in the 88th minute on the 19th of May 2012 which made us forget our years of pain in the champ league. I will always remember the Juan Mata tht mesmerised the bridge with his magical touch and who was our POTY for 2 seasons not this guy on the bench who brings tears to my eyes. Korea 734
The thing with the Mata situation is you can only bring 18 players to the game on game day.Starting 11 + 7 on the bench.Granted, 1 GK2 Defenders1/2 CM1/2 AM1/2 CFOut of the cm, am, and CF only one of them will have 2 spots on the bench... Logically, if we were winning, Mourinho wouldnt bring on an attacking player, moreso a CM or a Defender and if we were losing, he would probably bring on a CF.. So, at the end of the day, its going to be between Schurrle or Mata for the bench spot. Also, when people keep talking about what if Oscar gets injured, Hazard, etc. Too be honest, you can say the same thing about CM and our defenders and Cech. An injury to cech is a lot more severe for the gks, an injury to Rambo is a lot more severe for the cms, and if Jt gets injured, who knows whats going to happen. Am is the least of our worries for a defensive minded team. Mata with Mourinho will continue playing on the right side and continue being gassed out trying to play Jose game. Its one thing if we were selling our starting cam to Manchester United, but its another thing when your selling the last choice cam for Chelsea...Lastly, people act like Roman enjoys spending money on transfer fees. Act as if the potential funds raised from a sale wouldnt help Chelsea out this season and in the future. You cant keep expecting Roman to pay high fees to get high ranked players all the time. Has Jose had a knock on the head as well as hurting his arm the other day?
