Ok! Lukaku is never going to be pretty. Period. He is going to score goals. What will we do about it? Whine, because he doesn't dance quite lovely enough or take the points? On that very forum and other fora people enough say he performs ugly but always performs.

He will never have the flair or technicallity people love to see from a striker, but efficiency wise he will be the level of our club. Total battering ram that scores goals.

he is still having the same flaws. awful first touch, seems to lack stamina and sometimes his movement on the pitch is kinda awkard (too often going out wide). really needs to work on this, but it seems like he cant improve this things. nowhere near to lead our line next year, but could do well as a 2nd striker.

He doesn't have an awful first touch, he has an inconsistent first touch.

People writing him off are being extremely premature and overlook the most important thing - he scores goals.

Lukaku is a world class finisher, given the chance, 9/10 he will score. He hasnt had the service of late, simple as that. What chances in the last few games has he had? only one i can remember is the one last minute against Arsenal.

He's not had the service. Mirallas was Woeful yesterday and should have put him through a few times. Likewise, Barkley hasnt been as creative as he could have been. I dont think he had that good of a game yesterday (Barkley), obviously great goal but he didnt really create that much. Using the Newcastle game as an example, both Mirallas and Barkley got an assist to Lukaku in that game and I cant remember the last time Rom had chances like that since then. Its not like he's missing sitters every week. He does get in the positions but his service has been really poor.

The last few games he has looked very poor, but you simply cannot take him of as you know how explosive he can be.

So context matter with the Everton comments. I believe they acknowledge he is having a stroke of bad form for about 3-4 games. But that doesn't say his weaknesses are there when he is on form, quite the contrary. He is - inconsistent, but what do you expect from a 20 year old.
