Stingray 9,441
Yeah well. Lukaku might have scored, but the reactions on the Bromwich forum aren't that positive. He looks like a player with two faces to them. One is a crybaby fumbling the ball, two is the Lukaku that destroys defenders. Good thing he is still young, because he needs to work harder! He missed quite a few chances as well. If he was more clinical, WBA should have won.... Oh well, he can't be worse then Torres ....

CHOULO19 24,332
Glad he scored, but he missed two 1-on-1s. Needs to work on his finishing.
Jack Uzzi 54
Good to hear Pardew congratulating him. It's not like the one on one situations are a weak point of him. But he got on with his game and then scored in the 2nd half. Has clearly made progress already this season, and at his age, there still has to be much more time for improving aspects of his game. zolayes
AndersonBLUE 819
Still don't rate him yet, he should just stay at West Brom all season.
OneMoSalah 8,886
Needs to be a bit more clinical. Game vs City and today vs the toon he should of had at least 2 goals. Rmpr
sleazyB 58
I think this guy will have the drogba effect. Not saying he plays like him, saying that he is such a freak athelete, that he will creat chances for himself and others. Once he improves his finishing and touch, the guy will be a monster. GIBBO3000 20
I hope Chelsea gives him 2 years at west rom. After that he will be a force to reckon with.
Bir_CFC 3,455
The potential for this guy is crazy high. He's the kind of striker that will easily employ an entire back 4 by himself. Good luck dealing with the 3 maestros then. He makes so many strong runs in behind it's crazy, just like Torres used to (even when I try to forget about him, I can't). And, on top of that he's soo big and strong that he can play with his back to the goal (not that good yet though, but he's improving).Plus I've been impressed with his dribbling too. Stats 7,142
Watched MOTD2. Yes he was largely wasteful with a few of his chances but as he matures his finishing will improve, but despite that the assuring thing is that his movement against Newcastle was first class and constantly got himself into goalscoring opportunities and along with his pace to burn, his power also helps him. Once he gets more clinical we have a potentially goalscoring hero at Chelsea here. Think people are forgetting the fact that he is still only 19 and turns 20 next year. Jack Uzzi 54
Also think that two full seasons at WBA would be a very good thing.

Sheva. 5,373
He never looked set to shoot with the 2 chances he missed, made it easy for the keeper.
Popular Post! Weckerz 3,781 Posted October 29, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted October 29, 2012 I think his physique makes a lot of people forget his age. Nineteen years old.Honostly, he's better then most 19 year old strikers around as far as I know. Strikers generally peak at 27-31. If he manages to improve his dribbling and overall technical game, which he still has loads of time for, he'll be great. robdog, Stingray, zolayes and 2 others

Jype 6,398
A recall on the cards for January? Last week Di Matteo mentioned about the possibility of getting him back in the winter transfer window and today Clarke didn't seem too confident about keeping him for the whole season by saying it's out of his hands. From what I saw yesterday I was very impressed by Lukaku's movement. If he can make himself available in such good positions as he did yesterday with players like Morrison and Gera supplying him, I would very much like to see what he can do with our three little maestros. His finishing should have been better as he got two great chances in the first half, both of which he wasted but a goal early in the second half somewhat made up for it. West Brom play Southampton next, hopefully Lukaku can start again and score a couple of goals against their defense which has been the worst in the Premier League so far. Popular Post! Gily 37 Posted October 29, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted October 29, 2012 You're looking through rose-tinted glasses, he's still the same guy that joined Chelsea from Anderlecht and hasn't improved any of his aspects. I don't believe WBA was the best option for a loan, they're playing into his strengths which you can't blame them but he isn't learning from that. The good things you've seen from him aren't new, he was already doing that at the age of 16 at Anderlecht ( pace, strength, headers, bicyle-kicks ) . Now the bad things that you might have missed :- On setpieces he still takes wrong positions and imitates a pillar, he's got no movement whatsoever.- He still can't control a ball in his feet- He's still shooting rather than laying off the ball in horrible positions ( at the corner of the box )- He's still only attempting shots with his left foot, he's even more predictable than Robben which says a lot- Pointing to his feet like a caveman whenever a ball isn't played to him, no matter if there was 3 or 4 players in front of him, not realising it's his own damn fault because he didn't pick a good position- Not chasing the ball, giving the defenders room to pick a passBeing so predictable is the worst thing about him. Most defenders haven't played against him and that's why he can easily get past them now, but they'll slowly get the hang of defending against him.1. Don't give him room, cover his right side ( he's playing with the back to you )2. Don't panic when he starts doing scissors, stay calm and close in on him3. ALWAYS, block off his left foot he won't attempt to shoot with his right4. ???5. ProfitIt's a shame but it's as simple as that. Dy-lan 142
Damn good point. When did Ballotelli start to contribute more to his clubs? Was he already 20 or 21?Balotelli made an impact for Inter's senior side when he was 18. But like Romelu, he was a physical freak as well. He looked 24-25 at 17. Thing with Balo though is that he didnt rely on his size a ton like Lukaku does so far, he was a good dribbler and had a wicked shot. Im kind of rambling now, but if you are curious just you tube his inter videos....it's quite a shame he has such a peculiar attitude. I think he could be a VERY special player. On the topic of Lukaku, Im actually very pleased with his contributions for WBA. Like someone said, people forget hes just 19. Is there even another 19yo striker getting regular minutes in the epl right now?? Its late, so maybe im missing someone but i cant think of one. bloody, Las7 and robdog
