I’m genuinely surprised he hasn’t come out with an apology statement on social media yet.

Makes me think things are worse behind the scenes than the public knows. If he was genuinely remorseful and wanted to get the fans back behind he’d have said something by now.

A January sale isn’t actually possible, is it…?

Agreed.

He also broke the locker room code by going to the press. Affects the whole dynamic there like his teammates who thrive under the very conditions he openly complains about.

toxic individual but then again this signing was all wrong from the get go.

It is clear by now that all this boyhood dream, club love narrative is a charade. Even though I always doubted his quality as a player, i fully believed Chelsea meant something to him. How wrong I was even in that.

There is no way back now.

Any relationship between Lukaku and the club can only be transactional now.

I've suspected for years that the stadium tour was a PR move.

My tuppence. I think its been blown out of proportion, and as Tuchel said its been taken out of context.

I reckon the story will run its course, he'll apologise, and depending on whether he nets a few or has a barren patch = that will determine his future at SW6 rather than overblown media stories.

They say he 's changed his facebook profile now and it says "Inter Milan player".
Strange issue.
Nothing was going wrong for him -the team lost some points but he was n't held responsible- then he starts this.
And what's so great about Inter Milan these days ?

Only regret is the money we spent on him, in terms of quality we lose absolutely nothing so I hope it's true.

The money is what it is, I think we all expected to invest £95m+ on a striker, whether that is transfer fee or Haaland saga etc. I haven't reacted to anything at the moment because there's been nothing except the interview and Tuchel pre-game, so let's see how it's handled from here.

The good thing for me is the performance last night was fantastic, we don't NEED Rom, do we want him as a player? Sure, 20 goals, being flexible to our tactics and no interviews, otherwise no, off you pop.

The ironic thing about this is in the last week he's been used exactly how I'd want him to be (ie when we need stat padding but left well away from the big game).

He could be an asset to any squad if he accepted his strengths and weaknesses but he wants a role he simply isn't good enough for and it makes him look like an idiot quite frankly.

He's got the ego of CR7 without the ability level to back it up.

Is there any club that would be willing to pay 60m for this guy?

Can Juventus do it or even newcastle utd. If it continues like this he will disrupt the dressing room even more.

He'll think playing for Newcastle is beneath him no doubt.

Juventus and Atletico maybe. Only two real options imo.
