Lukaku has never been the most clever person in interviews and he clearly is a very insecure person. He's also not mature and too stuborn to apologize. But everybody is also overreacting on the whole situation. I’m genuinely surprised he hasn’t come out with an apology statement on social media yet.

Makes me think things are worse behind the scenes than the public knows. If he was genuinely remorseful and wanted to get the fans back behind he’d have said something by now.

A January sale isn’t actually possible, is it…?

It is clear by now that all this boyhood dream, club love narrative is a charade. Even though I always doubted his quality as a player, i fully believed Chelsea meant something to him. How wrong I was even in that.

There is no way back now.

My tuppence. I think its been blown out of proportion, and as Tuchel said its been taken out of context.

I reckon the story will run its course, he'll apologise, and depending on whether he nets a few or has a barren patch = that will determine his future at SW6 rather than overblown media stories.
