I really feel like he is the missing piece. We really need someone who is a constant threat in front of the goal and who keeps the opposite defence on their back foot. Sadly, Werner has not been able to produce and going into the season with only hoping that he would find the net again is risky if we want to compete for the PL and UCL. We might finally have a player who can bag 25-30 goals in the PL, and that is getting me excited! Lukaku is a Chelsea guy through and through, it’s sad things didn’t go well in the first try, but I really feel like this time it’s going to be different if he joins. Good thing is also that he has now tasted some glory in Italy, but hasn’t won major trophies in England/Europe, and with Chelsea, he really has a chance to win big things.

It looks like a pretty much done deal. Lukaku wants to play into a top club to win trophies and that won't happen any time soon with Inter Milan given financial difficulties they face. Besides he want to take it revenge in the PL. And its wage will be increased by 40% or so. Personal agreements seem to have been agreed 2 weeks ago or so. It all remains to convince Inter Milan and not to over-pay. Marina knows how to make it. We need a class striker - Werner somehow failed - and Lukaku can make it but I am not convinced by that player - sometimes brainless. Hopefully he did improve over the last few years to be smarter in his moves and strikers.
