Special Juan 28,141
Brilliant interview, a born winner with a direct and bullish attitude. He's coming here to not fuck about, but to tear up shit and score goals.

All I can hope for is that however his presence changes the starting XI, that it's still a net positive in the end. Thing is, how many times last season (and arguably the last two matches ala Palace and Villarreal) did we see a cross whipped in with not one of our attackers making a run to the box? They are all either sitting outside the box or they instinctively made the wrong run. We are always complaining on how we make the wrong decision in the build up in the final third, what if that is down to not having a focal point? Blue Armour 4,442
Also, on the plus side. Seems to know a lot of the squad players, especially youth players like Mount & James Was pleasantly surprised to learn that he's already talked to Havertz before too. Hopefully means that he will build chemistry with the rest of the team sooner rather than later.
Fernando 6,585
So was this a board signing or a Tuchel signing?

From listening to him speak over the summer I think he was focused on evaluating the players Chelsea has and the board was focused on bringing in transfers that Tuchel gave his opinion about and that we need. I think he is being very truthful that he does not want transfers coming in that would disrupt the talent we have. At this point Tuchel and our administration are in synch. Fernando

That's exactly what I'm unsure of. People don't like to hear it, but team management in football at this level can be a zero-sum game in itself, especially when you already got a strong side and a winner one at that. So, while it's easy to identify an obvious problem (again not all top clubs employ that player), it's less obvious to know how much you will lose by replacing one of the players who made the team strong in the first place. Like I said, we hope it's a net positive in the end, but I daresay we don't really know that at this time. This is a time we need to trust the club and Tuchel, since he seems to think it will be a net positive.

Magic Lamps 11,692
Came across very mature and intelligent in the interview. Surely has grown a lot. Looks at his leanest shape in years, has apparently cut to 93kg Now he just needs to make it work. I just hope the pressure does not get to him. So Lukaku essentially won Chelsea the UCL and is a club legend From youtube
