zolayes 14,489
if we are to loan him out i think the french league would be the best. a step forward but not the leap that he may not be ready for yet. no point in taking a step backwards in joining a league any weaker than that tho.so thats a def NO to the SPL
ZanSnake 1,211
Doesn't he need to stay in England in order to become a home grown player in the future though?Forgot about that...
YouNameIt 1,511
LIke I said in another post, consider the little ammount of playtime Lukaku has had. If you look at him when he played in Anderlecht you can clearly see a differance in his positioning but mostly his touch. This guy needs some serious playtime and he'll have huge potential. chelsealukas23 79
I think. His first match was great for him 2 goals but in the second match He was quite lazy and bad skills.I hope He will be great player for us but He should be go to loan(1 year) where He will play much more.Just my opinion.HE MUST PLAY!!! Kezza 1,965
It seems this is another case of high transfer fee syndrome. I think if we bought him for less, i.e a price that matches what he can bring to the team at this point in time, people would be less critical about him. Loan move would be excellent. Can't let potential like that just sit on the bench all season.

CHOULO19 24,332
@, if the your point was that he should be given more time then I definitely agree mate. But if you meant to compare him with the players on that list, I have to say those stats account for very little imo. laura90

Rambo 1,729
He desperately needs to work on his touch and its evident he's not ready for first team football here at Chelsea yet. I hope we can loan him to a mid-table team in the PL.
termninja 5,290
What I don't get is why does RDM insist on playing through balls to Lukaku like in the 1st game like he is Torres? He's a big lad, bomb some crosses in try to do something. Even against MLS, Lukaku was leaving the box to receive the ball and then failed at some 1-2 pass. BleedsBlue 1,549
LOL! WTF is going to happen to Patrick Bamford! I am probably guessing he'll be the next Borini in a few years time.
Peace. 4,352
Well. That's the first time I see him since last season : his technic hasn't been improved by any means. He will have to work on it, because if he doesn't improve his technic, especially his first touch, he will end up being a pretty expensive Kenwyne Jones. Jose M 140
Well. That's the first time I see him since last season : his technic hasn't been improved by any means. He will have to work on it, because if he doesn't improve his technic, especially his first touch, he will end up being a pretty expensive Kenwyne Jones.I feel for the guy because we all expect to much from a player like lukaku he's only 19! He needs season long loan somewhere in the EPL to adapt and to regain the form he had when he joined.
Kojo 4,676
He will be fine, he's 19 remember, and his technique can improve. I'm glad its his technique what he's weak on besides finishing or movement.Because movement isn't something you just learn, it's usually natural ability, but obviously can be improven, but some are born better than others and that's usually how it works. Finishing is also one of the hardest things for a player to learn, which is why I'm very surprised in Ramires's finishing over the last season, he gotten a lot better compared to how it was before. But i think Lukaku will be fine, working with the team isn't the hardest thing to learn, and his first touch, as long as he can keep the ball with it and pass back to the team first time he will be fine.
