Well lets be honest would any our current attacking midfielders/wingers get a game ahead of Messi, Neymar or Suarez? I don't even know if Eden would get in that front 3 to be fair. And Mourinho's transfer record since coming back a hit and a miss? Half of the guys he signed have been nothing but good and useful for us, some we've not seen as much of. Financially his signings have been very good too. Some will not make it here but will make us money. His first transfer window when he came back in the summer: Schurrle - played regularly, sold for profit van Ginkel - played a couple of games, got injured, loaned out twice, will be in squad or sold for profit likely Schwartzer - reliable back up, played when needed, left on a free Willian - playing regularly, improved into one of better players Eto'o - played regularly, left for free Josimar Quintero - youth signing, don't know what else has happened Isaiah Brown - youth signing, loaned out, hopefully part of squad soon or sold for profit, Cristian Cuevas - youth signing, loaned out, sell for profit? Stipe Perica - loaned out. probably sell for profit Christian Atsu - loaned out. probably sell for profit Then in the winter: Bertrand Traore - loaned out, will be part of our squad or sold for profit soon Nemanja Matic - regular and vital part of our team Mo Salah - kinda regular first half of season then struggled to get in team again, loaned out, will be sold for profit probably Kurt Zouma - loaned out, came back played regularly over a certain amount of time Mario Pasalic - loaned out, looks talented, if not sold probably be sold for profit The next summer window: Cesc Fabregas - regular and vital part of winning two cups Diego Costa - regular and vital part of winning cups Filipe Luis - didn't set the world on fire but still very reliable player Drogba - don't know particularly why he was resigned as in terms of playing wise he was past it but Remy - reliable back up, scored vital goals Then January: Cuadrado - only bad signing hes really had here imo still though early to say but not as big a fan. still fetch a decent fee for him though. Now we've added Begovic, Falcao and possibly could get Pedro? I don't think hes particularly made a poor signing other than Cuadrado and maybe Salah although I'd say both could still have a chance as they need more games but okay. The majority of players he has signed that have played in the first team have had an impact of some sort, the others have either been loaned or sold for profit. He has been shrewd in the transfer market.

Don't think that's perhaps a bad idea if he is here as a squad player, he was unfortunate to be loaned out to Liverpool after his pre-season performances under Jose when he first came back. He was class in the game against Inter particularly. Although it was pre-season and all but I thought he would of gotten a chance but when we signed Willian he was out, he looked an ideal squad player for us though; physically strong, pacey, versatile, home grown, still had time to develop.
-
I don't think there was a release clause was there? I think it was just a set fee? But anyway you look at the money and the two players... crazy.

Its blatantly obvious Rodgers and also former Liverpool players who have been in the media like Gerrard, Carragher and Thomson rate Ibe as highly as they did Sterling when he broke through. I don't see why thats so laughable but whatever. The few games I seen them both play, particularly the Everton game where Ibe started, he played much better than Sterling. Also in the European games that I seen, he looked as good as anyone else in the game. Not saying hes better than Sterling or near his level, but there's obviously potential there.... he will prboably play just as often as Sterling did in his break out season.
-
Considering Cuadrado is pretty average, he should be sold if Pedro comes.
-
Eden Hazard cost us 32M, with world class potential. Raheem Sterling cost City 49M, with a lot of potential but never going to be world class. Jordan Ibe will probably play in Sterlings place and look just as good...
-
Yes Josh McEachran says hello but so does Thibaut Courtois, Kurt Zouma, Kevin de Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Thorgan Hazard... I know some of these guys don't play here now but they all improved out on loan, definitely. If Ruben is as good a talent people say and willing to work hard then he would be best going on loan playing every week and improving as opposed to playing 10 games a year.
-
49M for him and 100M for Pogba. Dodged two bullets in my eyes at that prices.

Next to no creativity? Schweinsteiger is certainly a creative midfielder, hes not just an enforcer/ball winner, hes a complete player. Surprised Bayern actually let him go that easily. You throw in Herrera and all of a sudden that MF 3 looks quite class and thats without considering Carrick being the glue. Quite a complete midfield whatever they pick, Schweinsteiger, all round midfield player, Schneiderlin/Carrick more defensive minded but good with the ball and Herrera is also quite rounded but more offensive and able to score goals and make assists. I would of taken Schweinsteiger here if we could of gotten him. I know it was a year ago but his world cup final performance was out of this world for me. Hes top class.

Why would he have to do that to play in front of Traore, Traore is a winger.... but I get your point anyway, he definitely needs to improve.
-
Ideally Falcao should be 3rd choice if hes going to be as bad as he was last year.
-
Sure lets play him maybe 10-15 times a season where he could go to Vitesse and play every game or close enough. If there is one way to potentially ruin a young players career it is possibly deciding to do that ha.
-
Yes sure lest blow our whole transfer budget on a 21 year old who okay could maybe be be world class in 3 or 4 years or maybe not, for 100M its not a gamble worth taking honestly. Lets remember he plays in Italy, in the best team by a mile, where he is given more freedom to do what he wants and limited defensive responsibility. Hes not good enough to get that here. Fabregas and Hazard are the only guys who should get that bit of freedom here. Mourinho logic: buy what you need to improve your first 11 and squad.. Costa, Fabregas, Courtois (recalled), Remy, Drogba (mentally helped, a true winner). Not go and spunk 100M on a player who could be world class but who could also never hit that top top level like we've seen with Bale this season at Madrid, also considering playing in Italy is totally different to playing here no matter position, no matter who you are. Cuadrado and Salah deals springs to mind... Salah excelled in Italy, didn't look so comfortable here in limited appearances though.

Think this is one of best posts I've seen in this thread. Absolutely nailed it regards to the minutes comparison with Neymar and you can do it with so many other guys.

Oh come on don't give me that bullshit he had a breakout year under Ancelotti, signed a new deal and then it all went to fuck. Something went wrong, you can't say we didn't give him enough chances we loaned him out to Swansea where he didn't do much, Boro, Watford, Wigan and then Vitesse where other than the Boro loan he flopped hugely. He hardly played for Swansea, Wigan, Watford or Vitesse so something was wrong. Big contract too soon?
-
Glad hes gone, needs to get a grip of his career, shown that money and a little success can turn someone into something totally different. No other way to put it that that he blew his chance really badly.
-
Liverpool did nothing, it was him and his agent. He really is one of those typically modern day footballers. Although Carragher, Gerrard and Souness getting involved was always going to happen unfortunately as their Liverpool legends but also what they've said is true. If Sterling had tried that here I would happily see him sit on the bench or spend 2 yrs with the reserves until his contract ends. Nothing more cuntish than to be disrespectful to your club and manager to such a degree that half the fan base also have started to hate you.
-
Good to see us people on here saying its Cahill's fault we play like this or this happens since we are linked with another CB. I mean like Ramires and Mikel at times it seems he cannot exactly catch a break. For a 7M signing from Bolton hes exceeded expectations and become a really good player.... Otamendi had a good season, as did Valencia in general but I don't think he'd be much of an improvement on Cahill or Zouma.
-
If they do that it would be brilliant for their fans yeah, take him down a peg or two, think he has been a cunt over this whole transfer, if you want to leave there is a certain way to do so. Suarez for example, wanted to leave stayed another season then got his move. No point spitting the dummy out, even if he comes here won't be impressed with how he got his move. Like hes a good player etc but hes made an absolute cunt out of that whole club doing that, imagine if it were here?
-
No chance, its not worth us selling Remy and relying on Costa, Falcao (who could be just as shit as he was for United) and a guy who has never played in the PL. I'd rather we had Costa, Remy and Falcao than get rid of Remy and use Bamford. Bamford is not ready.
-
80-100M..... Juventus can keep him and he can fuck off if he wants 12m a year wages, hes not even worth that and will never be worth that sort of money or transfer fee. Definitely one of the most overrated footballers in the world right now.
-
Loaning Remy out is a stupid move. What if Falcao flops? Costa gets injured? Rely on Bamfod if he stays? Absolutely ridiculous. Remy is more than good enough to play here and his ability to play as a wide forward as well as a 9 is good for our squad. He scored some vital goals last year so hopefully he will stay.
-
Vitesse would of been perfect, really don't think he's at the level to be a regular here, he needs minutes and playing every week in the Dutch league, where their is an emphasis on technique and playing a specific way with the ball would of been good for him. Think we could regret this if he doesn't live up to a certain standard. 10 mins in games we are comfortable, cup ties against piss poor teams and U21s fixtures isn't going to challenge him or bring him on any further in his career.
-
Theres no doubt in my mind Jose has high hopes for Ruben but Marco is more experienced, further on in his development and probably would of been a better guy to have in the squad.
-
Wait why didn't we give them Loftus-Cheek on loan instead? Thats ridiculous actually, if they wanted him he'd easily play more there than here...
