  1. If he comes here he would be a huge success. He's been lazy at City this year because hes not pushed enough, not working under as demanding a coach as Jose or in a team where the quality is really high in his position. If hes not on song we can use Ramires in a 3 or play a 10 and drop him completely. Its not like at City where hes the top dog in MF, Fernandinho and Fernando can't touch him but Cesc and Matic are just as good, if not better. He is an all round footballer though, can play more advanced or play deeper as a 6 as well and like we've seen scores 10 goals plus a season from midfield. Imagine.... Courtois Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Azpi Toure - Matic - Cesc Willian - Costa - Hazard That team would win the league again next year.
  2. Signing Dzeko and Toure for next season would be a brilliant move I feel. Two winners, top proven players, giving us more depth and quality while weakening a potential title challenger. Why not?
  3. Injury prone? Cmon this is the guy saying Oscar is better than Isco saying this... take it with a pinch of salt.
  4. He wont this year, or the year after but if he does say 2 years on loan at a top Dutch team like an Ajax/PSV or a German team like Leverkusen or someone along that lines.
  5. How not? If he stays in Holland at a team like a PSV, Ajax or Twente and has a very very productive year like Depay he could be good enough? Suarez came straight from Ajax was a regular at Liverpool. Depay will be the same at United. Always a chance he could do. Holland isn't the same intensity but the technical side of football is at a high level in Holland.
  6. If Oscar is more versatile than Isco then I am the pope. Isco has played basically every midfield position for Madrid this year, next to Kroos/Modric, on the right, on the left, as a 10... being good at set pieces and being good in the air as a number 10 isn't as essential as creating chances and scoring goals. You also forgot Isco is usually a sub when everyone is fit for Real....
  7. Yeah I'd agree with that, another year in Holland would do him very well. If he develops at a similar rate to Depay then who knows another 2 years and he could very much be a regular here?
  8. I think Juve don't necessarily need to spend huge, they are the most attractive club in Italy due to their history for a start, constantly winning the league the last 4 or 5 years as well as having their own stadium and more finances than other Italian clubs, they will always effectively have first dibs on the top talent in Italy if they really want it and despite the Italian league not being what it was, there are a lot of very talented young players there. Dybala will probably go to Juve if hes smart, as well as the fact they have u21 players like Berardi (aged 20, nearly scored 40 goals in 100 games), Kingsley Coman and Stefano Sturaro (22 but still young) who are talented as well. Don't necessarily think they will ever be a top top club again in the near future but I backed them to go through against Real Madrid in the first leg because they have got a really really good team with experience and youth too. They've always had that about them, good experience but a few guys breaking through like Pogba, Morata, Sturaro, Coman.
  9. Can't wait for this to open up though, people will be posting they should get nominated for this this and that and whatever like really seriously, the usual shit, where as I will just sit and watch it all kick off when the shit storm starts.
  10. Great choice for him obviously, makes sense, average talent, 22 years old, obviously can become a lot better but won't happen here.
  11. Lol he is nothing in comparison to Matic and I still firmly believe Cesc is a world class MF player.
  12. No it isn't. Power? Why have power when you can have power and vast creativity in players like Matic and Cesc?
  13. Personally this would be brilliant. I'd love this. There's talk they want Boga and Charly Musonda on loan. Also other guys who's futures aren't so sure like Piazon, Kalas and Atsu could go there and further develop to be sold/come back to the club in the future. I think this would be brilliant. France in my eyes is up there with Holland as probably the best league to develop young players. If Marcelo Bielsa stays at Marseille next year too, hes a good coach with a great record for developing players and encouraging attacking football. Its a win-win for everybody.
  14. Well its either foul him or let him run past him and there is a more probable chance of Lallana creating a goal than us conceding one from a free kick in my eyes. I think 9 times out of 10 we defend it very well.
  15. Personally think Juventus should be desperate to sign Verratti. Hes not exactly the same as Pirlo but he possesses similar attributes, mainly finding space making himself available to his team mates, very good long/short passing with either foot. Juventus-Barca what a final. If they go with a back 3 vs Suarez, Neymar and Messi then they are fucked though. Busquets, Rakitic and Iniesta v Marchisio, Pirlo and Pogba will be great.
  16. Based on that game, never really did anything of great note other than a knock down for Morata. He tried a few flicks and that first half that didn't come off, see what I mean, when they come off they look good but when they don't they just needlessly give possession away. Not worth 40m never mind 70 or more.
  17. Terrible performances from both him and Ronaldo.
  18. If he manages to suck against 34 year old Patrice Evra two games in a row then I am inclined to say we shouldn't sign him... but again I would take him here, just hes not as good as everyone thinks but he'd be an upgrade on the right then Willian can play 10.
  19. Sure he gave the foul away but the players we had in the box are big enough and bad enough to defend a set play better than that, especially Mikel who was beaten by the slightest bit of movement, it was really poor that. Hardly as if it it was mainly Branislav's fault, even when you say partly his fault I feel inclined to disagree with that. Everyone commits fouls... and 9 times out of 10 we would of defended that set play better.
  20. He was sold because it was a good deal and the fact Azpilicueta and Filipe Luis are better players. If anybody is really disappointed we sold Bertrand to play Azpilicueta LB, when hes arguably the best defender in the league (Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville think he is the best)... then I am shell shocked in all honesty.
  21. Glorified Salah? Fuck off I've seen it all now.
  22. Youth integration will come but there is no way it will be forced down Jose's throat from the guys above him, he still knows he needs to win games and titles, he knows what we need to improve on, what the squad needs for depth. Hes saying Ruben will be a part of the squad next year, hes said Izzy Brown will play vs West Brom etc but these games are dead rubber games. He won't get rid of experienced players and rely on kids unless they are exceptional talents (like the sort of level Varane is).
  23. Sure it really wasn't Mikel's fault, who lost Gerrard far too easily but actually Ivanovic's fault.... ok
  24. Hardly. Mourinho's first season back in charge he was our most creative and consistent player then he disappeared after new year. Again he has scored goals and got assists this year but hes hardly played better than that Juve game here or even played consistently. Brazil are still carried by Neymar a bit as well, so to say hes a creator ? Not necessarily true. He hasn't even been called up for the Copa America which shows how backwards hes really been this season, considering he was a regular for Brazil ever since 2011.
  25. Just me that is upset at signing a former West Ham and QPR player? Even if he is English and gonna be a back up?
