  1. Everyone plays with both!!!! 😂 He is naturally right footed though. But plays on left side. He will probably not be a top option for us, we will go for another up & comer.
  2. £26m pricetag for Donnarumma…. Apparently…. Should be all over that. Be absolutely soul destroying seeing Sanchez or Jorgensen lining up as our number 1 😂
  3. Just avoid Garnacho. Please. Talented but an absolute gimp and his attitude clearly in same as Rashford & Sancho. The fact 15th place Man Utd dont want him says it all. We are actually the only ones after him… Will we get rid of Jackson? Lets hope so.
  4. Another simplistic goal couple of one-twos, Madrid absolutely all over the place 😂 PSG going to be absolutely brutal to play in the final
  5. If Madrid keep defending like they have done at this CWC, they’ll be looking for a new manager next summer 😂 Every game I’ve seen they give away so many chances… @Special Juan He is a very good player but he will never win a Ballon D’Or because he is a wank. Do get the feeling he is overrated a bit also.
  6. We signed him injured from Southampton IIRC. He also had fucked his hamstring at Southampton when he went there - which seems to be a reoccurring issue for him.
  7. Going to be Lavia’s third season here once things do eventually kick off. If he doesn’t play in 30 games and has more long spells on the sidelines, we need to seriously look at getting shot of him next summer. We’ve got lots of options in there such as Caicedo, Fernandez, Essugo and Santos. Not to mention that clown Maresca has a hard on for playing Reece as a CM. And whatever 18-20 year old midfield players we stockpile in January/for next summer.
  8. As long as we make a good profit on both, should sell in a heartbeat. Noni cost £29m & Nico cost £32m so anything between £45-50m is definitely good business. Thats without even looking at the pair of them as players. If we were quoted £50m to sign either of those 2 we’d be absolutely raging. With the Pedro (he will be seen as the main man for us upfront) & Delap signing’s now I really don’t see how Nico plays often enough. And fuck this shunting him on the left wing noise, if we need a left winger, sign an actual left winger….
  9. If Winstanley proposed this you just know it will go to shit. Couldn’t run a piss ip in a brewery.
  10. Wait and see, won’t take long for Maresca to have him passing backwards and sideways at will.
  11. We didn’t sign him for €120m in all fairness so I was sort of on the right track, was €121m 🤣 Although we did also sign Felix unfortunately.
  12. The fee for Petrovic is apparently 21.5m? Or thats the one I read. Should be biting their hands off. Unless its changed? Rodrygo may be a top level player and has still got more to give talent wise but I still think for the 200k + he will be looking for, it is not gonna happen. Not to mention they are talking between 65-70m as a starting point as a fee and I think that plus bigger wages makes it a bit more difficult for us perhaps. If a few clubs are actively looking at him, it would be very tough to do. There won’t be many players who leave a good deal at Madrid for some performance based incentive shit that may total 150-200k a week 😂 It would be nice to see but isn’t the BlueCo mantra to develop top players, not buy them? In this new model though, we aren’t going to break our wage structure very often. How many players are actually earning 100k a week plus base that have been signed or renewed under BlueCo since the Chuckle Brothers were given free reign? Doubt theres many at all. Once Sterling goes he is probably the last of any BlueCo signings who was on big money. Doesn’t necessarily mean we will look to spend 200k per week base salary just because we have free’d up £350k a week. Just look at previous seasons whilst we’ve been cutting wages.
  13. Rodrygo is 99.9% not coming here. His wages alone will be a stumbling block never mind a transfer fee. Petrovic apparently going to Sunderland too.
  14. I think irrespective of injuries the decision to come here was a huge mistake for him looking back. He was virtually an u23/reserve team player when he could’ve been playing first team football in Belgium - like de Bruyne, Courtois & Lukaku did before moving. Anderlecht are notorious for it also. There was also a lot of noise regarding Charly’s attitude from his loan spell at Celtic. How true that is, fuck knows, but I think the general jist of it was centred around that he thought he should’ve been playing every week regardless of how well/not well he did in training because he did at Chelsea u18/u23. To have an 18 month loan cut short after 8 appearances is a bit strange. He wasn’t the only player who now probably realises the error of coming here from clubs which would’ve no doubt given them first team football in that era though. Kakuta probably was another one.
  15. Will he really though? I mean he is going to be playing in games where they will be cagey and a lot more tactical. Given how awful he is technically and the severe lack of space behind teams in Serie A, generally don’t think he will do well at all. And he is never going to become an extremely clinical finisher, that much is clear. Who cares if it means we get rid of him? I don’t think relying on him has helped us achieve anything significant in the past 2 seasons and its better to take something for him whilst we can. Because it won’t be often we have several teams interested in him. Means we can get another CF in and have Delap as a back up. Cant afford to go into the season with Jackson & Delap as our 2 CF options. Just like with Jackson & Guiu last season.
  16. Oh god forgot we are good at recruiting injured players 😂 Ah well explains that then. But yeah if he isn’t loaned to get regular minutes or involved at all this season, as someone who is 20 years old and needing exposure, I don’t know what to expect…
  17. Lets be honest, probably another one the so called twitter experts got a hard on for because he played 15 games in South America. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being gash/shipped out/sold for profit. Kendry Paez will be the same. I was shocked the CB lad didnt get tried at all when we were relying on shit like Disasi and Tosin due to injuries/suspensions. I’d of gotten it if it were like 5+ years ago with the old regime as we were notoriously bad for not using youngsters/solely going for tried and tested but didn’t understand it then and even now in CWC. Did he even play for the u23/reserves or whatever they go by now?
  18. Also are people still saying pulling out of the Maignan deal was a good idea? For sake of a couple millions? But aye we sure showed Milan…. didn’t take long did it?
  19. Regardless a challenge like that is absolutely ridiculous. He has shown issues with his discipline for the past 2 seasons here through various things from this, the Newcastle sending off and various bookings from dissent countless times so you cannot blame the manager here. Am sure both Poch & Enzo have mentioned this. Surely as a professional athlete you know you cannot be so reckless when making a challenge though, I mean its brutal on the stills. He could’ve been playing in ballet shoes or taught how to play football by Ronaldo or Messi for all it matters but he is still so so average and will continue to cost us games with either his finishing or discipline. A major upgrade was needed, a higher quality than Delap who may be better suited as a second choice to we see if he can do what he did in spells for Ipswich at a bigger club.
  20. I think having one of Lavia/Santos/Essugo (Essugo must be the next one the fan base raves about based off a handful of games) with Caicedo in midfield is something we wont see with Maresca. Unless Caicedo is playing as a RB. But then defeats the our pose. There are plenty of technically gifted footballers out there who are athletic and adept tactically though. Fernandez may be potentially as good as anyone out there with the ball but he is probably one of the most tactically unaware and lethargic looking midfield players I’ve seen in a while in a Chelsea shirt. He is kind of like our own version of Pogba in a way. Talented for sure, really inconsistent and really doesn’t give anyone a clear idea where his best position is or what his role in the team actually is. Improved his output last season a lot but again, how many stand out games did he play where anyone thought he looked what he’s been billed up to be? His goals and assists will get him some slack for last season and maybe rightfully so - but for this potentially great all round midfielder that he was meant to be coming in from Benfica, that “we couldn’t afford to miss out on” & that Eghbali/Boehly wanted desperately after the WC final, I really cannot remember many games against really decent teams where he really got to grips with it and ran the game for us. I am sure Poch also played him higher up a lot 2 seasons ago which didn’t really do much for his improving his consistency or defining his role in the team. I think the next 12 months is really really big for him. It may define whether or not he continues to be an enigma to us or actually becomes a really consistent footballer. When certain games/moments get more difficult, he needs to do more without the ball in terms of being competitive and aggressive. He is far too good at disappearing when things don’t go our way or the game gets that bit more physical and intense. Traditionally when you look at how competitive South American players are, its even more baffling.
  21. That game under Poch? First game of that season? He played as the more advanced midfielder out of the pair of him and Gallagher then also IIRC because Liverpool pressed CG whenever he got the ball and made it really uncomfortable for him as Enzo was positioned slightly higher up the pitch. The physicality and intensity has always been his issue. It’s never going to change. You cannot be a £100m+ plus midfielder and not be able to run and compete physically these days. The amount of average footballers who are very good athletically that can just run over you these days if you aren’t at it is incredible because you need to be of a certain athleticism to play in modern day football now due to the nature of how quick, direct and transitional it is. But even deeper he isn’t switched on enough to hold his position and see danger as we seen with Potter & Frank using him as a 6 often. He has just come off a good season in terms of goals and assists so would assume he’s safe but if anyone offers anywhere near to what we got him for, I’d take it. Particularly Madrid. I genuinely reckon Modric at his current age is quicker and more athletic than Enzo Fernandez ever will be.
  22. Can’t wait to not watch any of our league matches this season. Saving myself the hassle, Maresca needs to go, absolute clown.
  23. Precisely. I am beginning to wonder if there are other financial issues that the owners are worried about. Or if it purely that they were expecting to generate much more money from their current investment? The loopholes for the 7 & 8 year deals were closed by both the PL & UEFA. The hotels & women’s team now also have been sold to ourselves to balance the books, what other assets can we do this with realistically to get around PSR? The failure to close the Maignan deal for the sake of a few bob is an absolute anomaly given the spending in previous windows and seasons. Fully with you on the experience and leadership. Could talk about squad building and recruitment to the cow comes home. How we went from one extreme in that first window with new owners to another extreme afterwards, which has set us back on the pitch. And will continue to result in competing for Europa/CL qualification at most. I seen quotes from Maresca talking about PSG and how their project is an example for him and what he’s doing here. And it was also alluded to on here at times. Are people forgetting about the core of their starting 11 consists of more proven and experienced guys like Dembele (28), Marquinhos (31), Hakimi (26), Donnarumma (26) & Fabian (29)? It is all about balance in squad building and recruitment.
