The Torres hatred is at an all time high and even has even spread to his kids believe it or not. Won't single out the poster who took it too far. Mikel who played for us despite his father getting KIDNAPPED by some Africans gets just as much abuse. Who's potential departure will the muppets celebrate the most?
-
No-knees Ba was a bargain? Bore off mate. Courtois and De Bruyne were youth players who weren't even capped by Belgium. Fair play to the scouts for spotting their talent but I wouldn't consider them shrewd buys. Bargains are Ozil for £12m, Cazorla (£16m) or £18m for Kagawa. Relatively cheap fees for proven talent who are miles better than Shirley and are legitimate starting material. I blast the club because I think that fat bastard Gourlay and his cronies are all clowns and they've done nothing to prove otherwise. It's okay to constantly deride and slag off Torres & Mikel but the morons that sacked Carlo in a corridor, got rid of the man who gave the club it's most joyous moment for Rafa of all people 3 months in the season, invest more of their time with overseas fans than local supporters and paid a combined £80m for Shevchenko and Torres who were both clearly way past their prime aren't fair game? Amazing logic.
-
£18m for a player only one club was chasing. Even Madrid & City get a bargain from time to time. Us on the other hand.......
-
He's had a solid game. Hasn't given it away and picked out a couple of quick passes to set up counters but I feel he could do alot more. Unless you're a monster defensively being neat and tidy won't be enough for a club of our stature. I feel like he's he's aiming to not step on anyone's toes and minimize as many mistakes as possible. Need to play with more enthusiasm and confidence in such a crucial area of the pitch. Perhaps I'm being too harsh & demanding here though.
-
Complete passenger. Afraid to take control of the game. Shying away from the ball and not demanding it. Pearce was definitely right in not starting him.doesnt have the proper mentality to play at this level.
-
Hopefully the lads produce this time around.
-
De Bruyne and Courtois are both starter quality while Lukaku in my opinion still needs more experience. Lukaku still isn't better than Ba and another loan would do him good. Hopefully, Jose doesn't cave into fan pressure and sees he's still a flawed player.
-
Bizzare post. If that's the case then Cech generated the most revenue by bailing the team out in the final. Or Ramires and Torres goals in the previous round. It's clear you despise the player though. Hope you didn't cheer his goals in Amsterdam and Barcelona.
-
Jose: "Imagine you bring back Lukaku, De Bruyne & perhaps KALAS . Bring 3 guys back, that's zero (spent) because investment was made before."
-
Is Lukaku currently a better player than Ba? No chance in my opinion. Despite his stellar season for WBA he still remains raw and underdeveloped in several facets of his game. While Demba was always a consistent goalscorer wherever he's played (West Ham, Newcastle & Hoffenheim) and we haven't played to his strengths nor any other striker for that matter. I'd prefer we keep Ba and loan Lukaku out for another season. Still not convinced Lukaku is a reliable option for a club of our aspirations YET and out of all the Belgians on our books he's the one I'm least confident about That's if we do indeed sign Cavani of course.
-
Torres has generated more revenue for the club than any other player in the squad since he's signed. This is well known.
-
Chalobah was a passenger in the biggest game of his career and also a no-show for his country at the Euro's. Mikel carried his country to a WC final at the same age and was widely regarded as one of the best prospects in the World........ a batch that includes the likes of Messi, Cesc, Aguero, Silva, Falcao & Llorente and also had footballing giants such as Madrid, Barcelona, United and Arsenal chasing him. All before we decided to play him out of position in a role he seamlessly adapted to eventually. Hiddink, Mourinho, Scolari, Ancelotti & RDM's tactical understanding and general knowledge of the game > the random bloke who thinks a nobody (who's done nothing so far in his career for me to consider otherwise) that plays in the Championship is better.
-
Mikel >>>>>>>>>>> Chalobah Always has and always will. Deal with it. That "limited player" was first choice under every single manager since he was signed apart from of course the two with the worst winning percentages at the club, The complete lack of respect for easily our best outfield player in Munich is sickening.
-
He's never going to answer questions about players that aren't owned by us. I'm surprised no one cared to ask him about David Luiz and the rumours surrounding him. And does he see him as a CB or DM. Can he improve him even further etc Where Torres will play next year? Does he plan to nurture, develop and play the youth players this time around? Intended roles for the "old guard". Can Mata, Oscar & Hazard all coexist together? Relationship wih Gorulay and his cronies. Or Emenalo and Drummy. Tactical, formational, philosophical etc questions related to the Chelsea squad. Anything apart from boring Iniesta and Casillas related questions ffs.
-
Thank God I didn't watch all of that crap. Some of the questions asked only served to prove most journos know f**k all about the game. The only decent ones unsuprisignly came from the foreign press Some bellend even asked about Paulo at one point believe it or not. Bored me to death.
-
The humble one.
-
So we're really not going to discuss the possibility of Oscar playing in the pivot next year? Think he could have a similar impact to Bastian Schweinsteiger there, just needs to bulk up. After all not many envisaged Schweini performing as a 'controller' while he was still playing as a winger/AM and a couple of years later he's dominating Xavi and Iniesta at the Nou Camp.
-
The McEachran hype was at least justified. He has abnormally better technique than the average footballer we or any other club in the country produce. He was our best player the year we won the Youth Cup and put in some remarkable performances in that run. He was also part of our most promising youth team (both aesthetically and productively) and was excellent paired with Ross Barkley in that U-17 Euros. He then made his debut for us at 16 I think and was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and also had a couple of promising performances in the CL before he wasn't seen again like Kakuta. A terrible loan by the buffoons that run the club stalled his development before another shocking loan to a Championship club pretty much all but killed his career for us. Part of his failure has a lot to with his lack of cojones and the slag he's dating but the club hardly ever put him in the best position to succeed in all fairness. He's proven a hell lot more than Nate who became embarrassingly overrated after his goal against Leicester. Worse players have scored better.
-
What's tragic is some posters on here genuinely believe he's better than Mikel and Ramires. LOL
-
He's not that good. He hardly gives it away but he isn't technically gifted enough to threaten the opposition in the final third. If he's ever going to make it as a midfielder for a top club (which he won't) he's going to have to be a lot more aggressive without the ball. He has a worryingly languid playing style despite being a defender at heart. Ake is the better prospect at midfield for me even though he's also probably a defender as well.
-
No he wouldn't be a steal. He had a shocking season and got exposed this year without Ibra. He's basically Milan's Torres. Most of their supporters want him gone. The fact that some fans actually think he's better than Ramires says a lot. Amazes me how much Chelsea supporters underrate their own players. The way some people go on about depth makes me cringe as well. Quality over quantity any day.
-
Should just go in for Lewandowski with KDB and Lukaku on loan in return being the bargaining chips. £20m plus those two should do it considering they don't want to sell to Bayern.
-
No player that isn't Ronaldo or Messi is worth £53m. Especially not Cavani. Should tell Napoli to f**k off. Not even City, Madrid or whoever else is in for him will pay that. He's a level below Falcao and even he went for less.
-
You do understand what the word clinical means right?Torres scored more goals than Rooney, Tevez, Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko, Giroud, Mario Gomez, David Villa, Benzema, Lukaku, Benteke and Higuain last season but apparently he's the worst player ever.
