If I was Belgian I would be furious with Lukaku. The entire team ran their socks off all game long and he was just strolling despite playing only 10 minutes. Poor attitude today. Tonight showed why I'm not convinced with either Lukaku and Benteke. Neither are clinical and are pretty average technically but their athleticism can cause any team problems. Don't think they're the type of players you can rely on every week.

So you'd sign Benteke despite having Lukaku at the club? Seems legit.

He could always rotate between a deeper role and his preferred #10. Only way to consistenly get him the games he deserves.Difference between Oscar and Mikel was Obi was told to sit back, clean up mistakes and never venture forward while Oscar could perform in a similar role to Wilshere, Gundogan, Schweinsteiger, Modric etc at their respective clubs. Still can't believe we didn't even attempt to play him even once there the whole of last season despite playing 70 games or whatever. Pathetic. Cavani/Torres/Ba Schurrle Mata/Oscar Hazard Oscar/Lampard De Rossi/Ramires Defense Can see that being our team next year.

Oscar is clearly the most talented #10 in the League along with Kagawa. Don't let Benitez stupidly playing him out wide fool you.

Oscar playing deeper next year?

Think the club are convinced Schurrle could be another Robben and will improve playing with better players. They do have similar playing styles after all... Not sure what it means for Eden though.

We really do have some spoilt c**ts that support this club. I cringe at all the hatred people spew about our players on a daily basis on here. Torres, JT, ramires, Mikel, Kalou,Lamps etc no one is safe on here. There's a massive difference between not thinking a player isn't good enough and celebrating their potential departure, Say what you want about Mikel but he was crucial in our CL run as we're some of the aforementioned names on this post, show a little bit more respect. He made 200+ appearances for us and has been a loyal servant for the club.

Plastic fans claiming we should sell JT. Still not over the club letting Drogba leave but if JT doesn't retire at the club we've officially become a soulless club like Rafa said we were all those years back. Is he a first choice defender anymore? Who knows? We've statistically conceded MORE goals without him in the team these past few years. He hasn't had a reliable partner at the back since Alex left. Luiz, Cahill and Ivanovic each have their flaws so to pin the blame for our crappy defense on him is ridiculous. Not like the clowns in front of him offer our back line any protection either. It's embarrassingly easy to bypass our midfield and its one of the biggest issues for our recent trend of poor defending. As for the mobility issues, well that's only a problem if your partner also lacks pace. Arsenal's defense was magnificent in the 2nd half of the season with Mertesacker paired alongside Koscielny, Barcelona have been abysmal since Puyol's injury problems, United's defense improved once Vidic returned and he isn't renowned for his pace. Then you have the likes of Demichiles, Van Buyten, Carragher and Alex who all had terrific individual seasons despite lacking speed. Fact is JT's still an excellent goal threat, his distribution from the back is still 2nd to none, is the greatest leader the club will ever see and he has a incredible habit of bouncing back in the face of adversity and proving everyone wrong. F*** the haters, he deserves at least one more season after everything he's done for the club.

We're not even a Top 5 possession side in England alone. Our biggest problem is recent times is our inability to keep possession. Swansea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and United are all better possession teams than us. Hell, I'd even put Southampton under Pocchetino in that group. Schurrle isn't the answer to that glaring weakness.

Why would anyone want to be a counter attacking team? With the funds and players we have it seems illogical to me. Schurrle is basically a less technical version of Hazard with a selfish streak. The club should focus on strengthening our weaknesses like the midfield, attack or defence before overpaying for a player not too dissimilar from Moses or Hazard. Sick of the idiots that run the club, looks like another year with yet another unbalanced squad. Disgusting.

One thing I will say about Schurrle though is he might be the best player on FIFA. He's like a more agile Ronaldo on this game lol.

Hulk 30 goals a season lol. He was exposed at Zenit and Brazil ffs. Good player but not Chelsea quality especially at that price. Spurs or Liverpool is more his level.
