I was just coming to post that lol. Unreal.Has anyone made a comp of his performance against Uruguay by the way?
-
I know that lol.Alot can change in a couple of months in football but I'm almost certain Romeu was first choice for Spain before his injury. I could be wrong though. Anyway, this is a pointless argument/debate. We won't sign him.
-
That's actually an excellent point so many posters are quick to point out you shouldn't judge a struggling player on a couple of games at International level but then go on to claim a player is the best thing since Yeezus based on a 4/5 game tournament.
-
Wasn't Romeu the fulcrum of the Spanish side before his injury? Illara is obviously a good player but you simply can't ignore the system he's playing, the players supporting him and the quality of the opposition he's facing. Lets see how he performs in the upcoming CL before crowning him the next Busquets/Redondo or whatever.
-
Not good enough for us IMO. Better players out there. Is he even better than Romeu?
-
Why would Napoli lie? De Laurentis isn't the type of person to go down that route. He's always straight forward with the media as are most Italian owners. We probably made an enquiry noted that Napoli wouldn't budge from their €65m price tag and told them to f**k off. People trying to justify paying £53m for Cavani is why the games gone mad.
-
No they don't. I can't remember the last "surprise" transfer by Chelsea.
-
@JamesHorncastle: De Laurentiis says Man City unwilling to spend €63m for Cavani Says it all really.
-
Madrid playing counter attacking football is the main reason he failed at the Bernabeu. Football has evolved and possession is vital. Don't get Chelsea fans obsession with that style of play.
-
#TeamLukaku
-
You're kidding me right? Such a short sighted way of thinking. Lukaku > Cavani at £53m
-
No one is saying he's a bad player. Just that he isn't worth £53m, very few players are and he simply isn't one of them.
-
He's incredibly comfortable on the ball as well. Decent prospect.
-
The best player on the pitch for me. Shame he's playing with League 1 level players, Moses and that lad that plays in Russia would have made a big difference for them. Omeruo(spelling) was superb as well. Destroyed Cavani.
-
#TeamProtectMikel His biggest backers probably enjoyed that goal more than he did. hahahaha
-
Agreed. Munich and Barca away performances stick out like a sore thumb. Gave EVERYTHING for Chelsea both those nights. Will always appreciate him for those games. Seems like he's leaving based off of his own will and not the clubs own doing, Probably wants a club where he would be appreciated and where better than the city of the most passionate fanbase in the World, where half the supporters aren't clueless.
-
You guys do realise you only just proved my point. You had to go 3 seasons back to find that Ramires pass. Almost the same thing you're criticizing Mikel for. Carry on though.
-
Tahiti are a poor team but people need to stop downplaying the quality of the pass. Ramires for example doesn't have the vision nor technique to pull it off. He's given much more freedom to attempt those type of plays for his country something he isn't afforded at Chelsea. Pretty sad to see how much abuse some of our players get. Sturridge got a similar treatment during his time here and after his move to Liverpool most realised he actually wasn't shite after all.
-
The only thing this game proved is he isn't worth £53m or whatever not that he isn't a great player. That price tag is reserved for the likes of R9, Henry, Eto'o, Drogba, etc Rather watch Lukaku develop for a season at that price.
-
We should sign Soldado instead.
-
Cisse was in the form of his life and scored alot of flukes. Of course that half a season was unsustainable. Sturridge is the much better footballer and far superior both physically and technically. He had a exceptional record at Bolton and repeated the trick at Liverpool. You're selling him short mate.
-
Look at Sturridge goals to games record and come back to me with the pointless sarcasm. Only thing that can stop Sturridge from reaching his potential are injuries.
-
He actually had a good game yesterday. Confirmation bias at work.
-
Not sure if serious. Sturridge will be one of the best strikers to ever play in the PL. Gael is a nobody at this point.
-
Said it before and I'll say it again, Oscar is the most talented player on the team and we should be building the team around him. Mata out wide next season please. He's a complete footballer. Technically perfect, amazing stamina & vision, unbelievable work rate and incredible tactical nous. His form in the CL showed he's a reliable scorer as well. 90th minute after a 70 game season. Received the ball in his own half, ran with pace at two markers, cut inside and played in a perfectly disguised weighted pass to Jo. Made his mind up for him and he didn't even need a touch to get his shot off. You're clueless because very few players can make that play in football.
