  1. Not confident at all. Same sort of effort shown vs Arsenal particularly second half and we get pumped again.
  2. Is he a good coach though? Is he really? He was going to leave mainly because the media and fanbase were turning against him because they felt he could only take Barcelona so far. And it put “too much pressure” and “media attention” on him. Is that really the sort of manager you want managing our team? Somebody who after what 18 months announces he is resigning because he can’t handle the heat? His team have been solely reliant on the brilliance of a 16 year old attacker and a 17 year old central defender this season, I mean if that makes him a good coach I don’t know. And he’s staying at Barca to June 2025 now anyway - before undoubtedly leaving and going to coach at no other top team again because he is another guy who because he was a great player, was given a top job at Barcelona when things were going difficult for them despite being an average coach. Sound familiar? Lampard 2.0
  3. Joao Palhinha would of been the right move in the summer. £55-60m. Instead of Lavia and Ugo. Him as a 6 with 2 of Enzo/Moises/Gallagher either side. But a 3 of Lavia-Caicedo-Enzo would of “been one of the best in PL & Europe” and “Boehly had completed the transfer market” ….. I know some people will say Lavia is a top top player and be worth the money etc but he was never ready or what we needed. We needed proven quality. But Liverpool wanted him - although they ended up signing a 32 year old Japanese player nobody ever heard of instead who has probably played much much better than Lavia did last season - so we shit our pants and overpaid for a player we didn’t really need after signing Caicedo.
  4. Xavi 🤣 I mean half the Barca fanbase and media outlets weren’t happy with him after winning the league last season, never mind now considering how they’ve done this season. He’s just confirmed he’s staying another season at Barcelona also. We need a very good coach, not somebody who was virtually keen on leaving Barcelona because his own fanbase and the media were chasing him out.
  5. Because we are lucky to have him etc etc. I think on an individual level, you could maybe sympathise with him if he was showing some quality and being let down by his team mates. For me though, his general body language, competitiveness and intensity when he plays, particularly for a South American - notorious for being so competitive in their nature - is terrible. Not sure why he thought he could play as a 10. Doesn’t score or get enough assists. He isn’t good enough without the ball to be a 6 either, players run past him for fun playing higher up yet alone closer to our own box!
  6. Atrocious tonight. Likes of him, Moises and Connor didn’t land a glove on any of the Arsenal midfielders. Thank fuck this season’s nearly over. This guy needs a reality check. As do most of the squad.
  7. Odegaard created 8 chances tonight. 8. Alone. What the fuck were our midfielders doing? Nobody even tried to get close to him at all.
  8. How can somebody who missed the chances he did today even try and take a penalty off our top scorer last match? What a joke of a footballer.
  9. I would like to think after the Sterling one they allocated a designated taker but even before that Palmer had taken 5 of the 8 penalties we had gotten prior to that. It certainly looks that way because Palmer has also taken every penalty since when he has been on the pitch. Madueke and Jackson both making a sideshow of the best performance of the season was an egotistical thing. Dele Alli nailed it in a oner, they didn’t try take the ball off him in the game against Man United when the pressure was on. Pair of them are average players with poor mentalities.
  10. And if thats his approach and Cole has been taking them all? Is it still not clear that they've decided he is the one to take them?
  11. Oh for fuck sake. Ok sure Palmer has taken what 8 or 9 pens this season but its somehow still not crystal clear that he is the designated penalty taker? Be like saying Jorginho or Hazard weren’t the designated penalty takers in previous seasons gone by 🤔 You don’t let someone take 8 or 9 penalties in a season if they are not the designated penalty taker. I mean do you honestly believe that every time we get a penalty, the players are just deciding who takes it in the moment? And coincidentally it always seems to be Cole 😂? Sure he could of subbed them or fined them or done whatever but he has publicly slammed them. It’s so clear the players themselves should shoulder the blame. Not the manager. How is there any uncertainty? Palmer has taken the most penalties for us this season and hasn’t missed one yet. If anything it should be pretty blatantly obvious to everyone inside and on the outside of the club that he is the designated penalty taker… or he wouldn’t have taken so many. I mean how are people struggling to grasp this? I get Poch hasn’t done particularly well but theres only so much we can blame him for. What he said about this situation and the players not thinking as a collective was bang on the money.
  12. Jesus no wonder Pep was so keen to shift Joao Cancelo. What a bellend attempting to make a tackle like that when your down to 10 men. In that position.
  13. 🤣 Wow did you guys listen to any of the stuff after the game? Or we just throwing shit and hoping it sticks? He basically said after the game that all the players knew who the designated penalty taker was? I mean is it really Poch’s fault Jackson and Noni acted like selfish bellends? Ate blame the guy for things he is directly responsible for but not for Noni and Nico going against something that has been established all season. I mean why would it not be clear to anybody, yet alone his team mates, that Cole who has scored 8 from 8 this season from the spot, is the designated penalty taker? Are you both really going to say its Poch’s fault as opposed to the two lads who caused the scuffle?
  14. Happens every time. There were people thinking he was great and should of been a nailed on starter here because he had a good season for Burnley in the bloody Championship, now he’s scored a goal in the CL and its the same. The same people seriously thought Man City wanted him too and that because of this, it meant Poch should be playing him every week 😂 He’s average. He may be good for a team like Dortmund but he’s not cut out for teams who are want to be at the elite level. Which is where we should be aspiring to be. Granted we are shite the now and have been for ages but I won’t be losing any sleep if we sell him.
  15. Yeah penalty situation only bad thing about the game. Noni and Jackson have no right as they are both very very lucky to be playing for the club at all, yet alone having the audacity to try and take the penalty off of Cole Palmer, who has been our best player by a country mile.
