Doesn't really suit the way Liverpool play at all, does he? He thrives on long balls and crosses, neither of which Liverpool utilize. I suppose now that they've signed Clyne that can change since crossing is what he does best. Still, seems like a strange buy for them.

For a guy who has scored a goal every two games in PL for a low level team I'd agree and say it is a fair price. Hes better than Lukaku for sure. I don't think I've seen a 6 ft plus, very big built striker hold the ball up as bad as Lukaku or play as bad as he does with his back to goal.

I think it's too much for him, but that's how much Villa asked and it's not like Liverpool have any alternative targets. He's the best forward probably they can bring at this moment. Sturridge with his fitness, Balotelli being awful, Lambert failing...they really need a striker and Benteke is a great fit.
