Any updates on if we're making progress in the new stadium department?

I'm really excited. I don't care how the stadium looks. I simply want lower ticket prices, and more people attending.

I know a lot of new fans won't know this, but we used to have some of the greatest support EVER.

Just look at this -

I hope someone who was attending that game is on this forum somewhere!

That is magnificent.

On another note, I think the board would find it much easier to convince the CPO, if, instead of buying back the shares, they agreed to transfer them to Battersea. I'm not aware of British law so there'll probably be restrictions on that; but if they exchange one share in Battersea for one share of the Bridge, I think CPO members would be more accepting towards the move.

Read a report from Reuters that our bid was way off the mark. Don't believe we are going to be moving to Battersea.

Bloody shame, as much as I'll miss the bridge this was a perfect site for us, can't think off many others in west London.

Everything I've read makes our chances of a successful move to Battersea look unlikely; however bids aren't always all they are cracked up to be. There have been so many false starts that a bid from a local bidder (CFC) with a vested interest in the finished site (the stadium) might have a lot more credibility than another straightforward development plan... and nobody would doubt that Abramovich can make it happen if he's willing to get his hand in his pocket!

Bloody right from a common sense point of view they should just let us buy it and actually do something with the site, the place shut down the year I was born (1983), and has rotted ever since dispute numerous developers attempting to regenerate the area, a stadium with a view from the river would be immense and there is already loads of properties going up around that area mainly by the firm who's flooring work I do Berkley Homes, so in that respect losing a few hundred flats as a trade off for an iconic stadium is worth it, that and we have the funding in place already to build the day after planning consent is given.

Chelsea could get help from Hammersmith and Fulham Council to upgrade Stamford Bridge after their latest attempt to find a site for a new stadium failed.
