The only place to be 11,313
So we sign a deal with Adidas, and a year later they ink one with United worth more than double that for roughly the same duration.Hmm....I think I might remain silent on this issue so that I don't say something rude about Gourlay. Fernando 6,585
Simple, United is the biggest club then us and can hold sponsors to ransom. We are not at their level yet. zolayes

But United have exploded the Asian market and that's also something to consider. We need to increase our market share in Asia.
bababoom 4,478
United in the next 10 years will be able to spend big, in the last 10 years or so Ferguson didn't want to overspend on players, that's why he missed out on the likes of Hazard, Sneijder, Sanchez, Benzema, Essien, etc, in the next few years you can count on United signing these types of players (Big talents), no longer will they miss out because they are unwilling to pay an extra 5 million or give the player high wages. Sheva. 5,373
400m+ more than Real and Barca is a joke. Adidas just unnecessarily raised the bar for when those teams are signing new deals. The Chels and Rmpr

Definitely. City and us were just easily outbidding them but now with FFP restrictions and the fact that they've got shit loads to spend with these new deals, they'll be a big force in the market - just look at the Shaw deal: £30m at £100k/week! I reckon they'll be able to outdo City in every sense now, but with the London factor and Mourinho I think we should do alright. bababoom
Rmpr 8,977
ManUtd doing a hell of a deal, while Adidas made a stupid move (imo).Yes, they took away Nike's second best selling jersey, but they agreed on an unsustainable and incredibly high fee. Now Real Madrid, Bayern and Chelsea wil definitely question their current contracts and when the time comes Nike will have open doors to negotiate with all three of them...What's the point of completely overpaying to attract one big club when you will probably lose the others? If you compare it with all the other contracts at the time, ours was one of the highest. It is not his fault someone else signed a better deal one year later...
