If we put a weakened team out in the Europa League then we have a chance.

But some people still think a fucking coefficient is worth risking our league position for. :banghead:

Anyone who still thinks the Europa League is of any importance is saying that Champions League qualification is not important.

EXACTLY! FFS Europa is the chance for the youngsters to play i.e.Islam Feruz! Europa league is pointless!

No one want us to risk Champions League qualification, but we just dont want to give it up for free.

Like you wanted us to lose. It is absolutely ridiculous to ask for your team to lose! :doh:

Everyone said we needed to rest Mata, Lampard, etc. The same people who 'want' us to win it are the ones who got mad Benitez put a strong starting lineup. We all want a weakened team in Europa League, but we still want to see the team fighting for it (no matter what team is in there). You, on the other hand, want us out...

I've said we should prioritise certain competitions over others and that I didn't like the idea of us playing midweek games before important league games, but I always support the team on the day. Don't try and paint me as something I'm not. I may not like the Europa League but I still go to the fucking games and support my team.

You literally said you prefered us to lose. I could very well search the post you said it, but all that matters is that you know it is true...

I would prefer us to not be in the competition. I think it will damage us long-term.

In our current form, anything extra is harmful (I never denied that). I just dont want us to simply give up...

What I mean is that I want to see the team going for the win, but I wouldnt cry my heart out if we lost.

Maybe playing some of the youngsters will provide fresh energy to our first team squad?

I mean if we can't use at least 1-2 youngsters in the Europa league...then there is something clearly wrong with the link between our U-21's and the first team.

Spurs used their reserve team under Redknapp...Rodgers used a few Liverpool reserve players...I'm sure Chelsea's reserves aren't that bad..

We should be using all the players that wont probably play in EPL. Torres, Marin, Benayoon, Ake, Bertrand, Iva, Terry, Turnbull, etc...

However, I will say it again, I want to see desire when they are on the pitch!

What do we want to happen?

1) Tottenham win:- Would put Tottenham back above us by 2 points and keep Arsenal 5 behind us.

2) Draw:- would make both drop 2 points, we'd be level with Tottenham and 4 ahead of Arsenal.

3) Arsenal win:- Would mean we stay 3rd, Tottenham just 1 behind us and Arsenal just 1 behind them, would leave everything so close.

I'd rather Tottenham win. There's not much difference between coming 3rd and 4th. Ideally we need to stay as many points away from 5th as possible. 'mon you yids.
