They’ve been horrific in EVERY match they’ve played in the PL thus far. Even in their 2 wins they were tremendously fortunate that their opponent couldn’t finish despite dominating them. United tho... looks like the manager is completely lost atm. The team clearly does not have enough players defending and it shows.They miss Mount already (Anthony as well) because they need more players involved in the defending tasks. Some will look at their CBs and say this or that, but IMO they are constantly outnumbered. Nowadays, teams who can't high press will be controlled... simple as. If it was two keepers with broken bones, yeah, sure, but it's not like this team relies, or rather should rely, solely on James and completely PL unproven and unknown player in form of Nkuku, who we somehow trust to put out prime CR7 numbers from the get go. Otherwise we just lack depth and miss out on developing players / losing money (Fofana) now. Looking at this, we wouldn't be anywhere near Top4 even without injuries imo. With a + £1bn squad to blame injuries for finishing 8th or wherever would be ridiculous and wouldn’t hold anybody accountable. The strategy and footballing vision at the club has to be blamed if we have another poor season, simple as that. So that starts at the top with the sporting directors.
