As @Milan pointed out some weeks ago, it's scary to think that they could have been further ahead had they not contrived to throw away a 3-goal lead against West Ham and the referee not given a controversial penalty to Newcastle.

But on the flip side, if we went into Southampton with Mendy, AC didn't get red vs Liverpool, we took one of our chances vs Spurs.

Works both ways.

The point is that no team should be throwing away a 3-goal lead at this level and the other one they got fucked by the referee because IIRC, it shouldn't have been a penalty.

Different scenarios from what happened with us in those games.

That's football.

Liverpool could also be well ahead had VAR been used properly in both the Merseyside Derby and Brighton. Who knows where we would be had Mendy, Chilwell, Silva, Pulisic and Ziyech were fit and ready day 1.

The fact the media are treating Spurs as some kind of run away title challenging team (when in reality they are one good opposition defence away from Kane and Son being passengers) despite only being 2 points ahead of us and level with Liverpool is strange.

I know it's ifs and buts but I meant this...

The more often i look at it the worse it gets. What did that donkey Coady think of jsut chesting the ball into his own back? unspeakably dumb error. If the ref is not giving the dippers the gifts, its the opposition. Pool have created zilch on their own and yet will win this comfortably due to Wolves incapability. make no mistake, for us there will be no free pass like this.

Look at it this way, better Liverpool than Spurs for the title if we aren't the ones winning it.
