Brendan Rogers though, what a job he has done with Liverpool. Brilliant team to watch, all out attack and has them scoring goals. They'll be a force in the Champions League next year, with Anfield bouncing as it hasn't had big Champions League nights for a while.

Not too sure about that. They, as a team in whole, are pretty much still inexperience in the Champions League and not to mention, Brendan Rodgers himself still got no experience in Europe. They'll no doubt look to improve their squad this summer and on but teams in Europe would certainly exploit and take advantage of Liverpool's deficiencies more clinical than domestically.

They are some years behind Champions League football and that Mickey Mouse defence won't stand a chance against Madrid, Bayern and Barcelona. And bare in mind they will be in the 3rd or 4th Pot so they'll have to face at least two big teams.

These Champions League nights they all dream about might turn into horror nights unless they invest massively in the summer.

Liverpool have to invest in more quality and depth but, having CL will attract more players. This was their season to break into top 4 because of not playing in Europe. I don't think they will be able to compete as much in the Prem next season unless they invest in a big way in the summer, CL games defiantly take its toll

I would rather anyone win the Prem that Liverpool, their fans are already insufferable without having won a major trophy for years.

What is with their fans putting YNWA after every post, does it make them some sort of super fan?

Yes, Brandan Rogers is doing an amazing job. He truly is!

However, you need way more than flahsy football and a good attack to be successful in the Champions League. You need experience, a solid defence, mental toughness, luck, etc.

They will most probably be great in the group stage, but I doubt they will make much noise once the knock-out rounds arrive. They are not ready yet...

Wow, Liverpool absolutely mauled Man United yesterday without even getting out of third gear. They look a serious threat to the title.

Not worried about the Gooners though, they were poor at Spuds.

Whilst Liverpool did well United aren't a good yard stick to use against them, and you probably know this yourself. I have never seen such ordinary and down right awful body language we are seeing from the whole United squad right now. United on Sunday where like the boxer with his hands tied together, just truly woeful.

I honestly think they will finish smack bang in the middle of the table.

Eh people said the same when they destroyed Madrid, with a team that had fucking Dossena and such trash on it. I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to knock out a few good teams, especially as they will strengthen with a CL season in mind. Matching a team like Bayern though? Yeah, no one will really do that currently with a massive amount of luck and skill, but that doesn't mean they can't do well in CL.

Madrid were wank for ages in the CL.

I'm sure they will add to their squad, and with a front two like Suarez and Sturridge they'll always have a chance against the big boys.

The problem being that the 'Big boys' will always be looking at Suarez and I can bet good money one of, if not both, of Real and Barca will sniff around Suarez come the summer. Bale went for huge amounts, Suarez will go for more.

It's worrying what kind of beasts Liverpool may sign with that sort of money

Does anyone think that rvp's injury would be a blessing in disguise for chelsea. Despite scoring a hattrick, don't think he was anything special last night. Plus after watching united against pool last weekend, I had almost given up on them being remotely possibke to take points off city next mid week.

But hopefully with rvp's injury, moyes is forced to play mata in the center rather than hopelessly conceding a wing to ths opposition. Plus united lacked creativity thruout the game, this migjt just be the best thing.

Also hope moyes does not play adnan, the kid was owned all night long by flanagan. Think what kolarov would do.

Shit Rvp out for Manchester derby. That could be a factor in the title race...or maybe not, cos Rooney - over the season - has been far more productive than him, and he playing as a striker with Mata behind him, might prove a different challenge than the rather classical centre forward Rvp is.
