Can certainly see Kane having enough good will built up with Spuds that they’d grant him a move if he really pushed. If one of the Manchester clubs offer over £100m I think he goes.

If that happens I can’t see them selling Son as well. Because with Kane gone they’re instantly a midtable side. With both gone they’re even worse. And they can’t attract players near that quality to replace them.

I would hate more than anything to see the most talked about, most hyped up, most “adored” England player Kane playing for Man United. The media coverage would be insufferable. Never mind the fact that he’d instantly make them one of the favorites for the league and CL.

If he goes to City I don’t really care. They’re already unreal so he doesn’t really change much.

Kane is the most famous English player and is probably desperate to break lots of English records. Can’t see him leaving the PL for those reasons.

A club like United who are obsessed with commercial appeal and shirt sales and having English players mean he’d be their ideal player. Most famous English player at most famous English club” and all that bullshit.

Of course ourselves would be the best fit for him since we have every other piece except for a talismanic #9. But Levy would never do it even if we offered £20m more than anyone else. And I can’t stand the fucking sight of Kane and his awful haircut so I’m fine with that. 😂

Worth remembering that Ed Woodward will be leaving Man United this summer. So, god knows if United's decision making process will change etc.

The problem Kane has, aside from his long term contract, is that he will basically be "competing" with the likes of Haaland and Mbappe. If a club is willing to pay more than 100 million, wouldn't they be better off signing Haaland or Mbappe rather than Kane given the difference in age? The former two can give a club 10 years of service while Kane may have only 3 years or so left at the highest level.

So...Spurs sacked Mourinho only for them to put that kind of performance in? Is Ryan Mason gonna get criticized for basically doing what Mourinho would have tried to do?

I get that they tried to play on the counter but it didn't even look like they had any ambition to go win it. It looked as though they were just hoping to take it all the way to penalties and try to sneak it from there.

And Spurs' xG was 0.04!

It's weird isnt it?

I'm wondering if the breakup clause in Mourinho's contract had something related to trophies delivered,..maybe Levy didn't want Mourinho to win a trophy before leaving

I think if Mbappe ever moves it’ll only be to Real Madrid and he’d probably cost much more than Kane. For most clubs Haaland would make much more long term sense due to his age, but the combo of Kane being English, being totally settled and dominant in the PL already, and the fact that there likely won’t be a bidding war for him (unlike Haaland) means he’d probably be United’s preference.

There was a time when the Spuds fans could at least enjoy the nice football they played.

We're more likely to see Halley's Comet again before these aerial losers win anything again.

top 7 most expensive players (rated on T-Markt) are all in play this summer potentially

I think due to COVID and clubs being (Barca and RM even without COVID) in shit financial shape other than us, Citeh, and PSG, zero chance they all move

In fact, I would not be shocked if none did (Håland being the most likely to actually go, especially if Dortmund bottle CL for next season, plus Mbappe if he doesn't renew)

Kylian Mbappé
Harry Kane
Erling Håland
Mohamed Salah
Neymar
Jadon Sancho
Sadio Mané

But it's the return of investment here - short term vs long term. You spend 100 million+ on Kane now and in 2-3 years' time, you will be going out to spend big money on a striker again.

I don't think Kane's nationality is an attraction at all. It's just a bonus, if anything. It's not like United or City need a big English player to tap into the English market or anything.

Will there really be a bidding war for Haaland this summer if Dortmund insist on their 150 million demand? Moreover, I'd imagine it's easier to negotiate with Dortmund compared to Levy.

Well hopefully we can finish in the CL places so we can be in play for all these strikers. Haaland probably won’t look our way if we’re bidding giant other big clubs who can offer CL footy.

Won't be surprised if both Haaland and Kane just stay where they are this summer. Clubs still seem wary of spending BIG while still feeling financial impact caused by the pandemic.
