Wayne Rooney

He surely will not come here this window, cup-tied, middle of the season and shit.

On a different note, looking at Utd's performances in recent weeks, they will be there for the taking next week. We really should go all out on them like we did vs Southampton and Liverpool and it will be a slaughter. A high-scoring victory would also send the right signal in the title race.

Jose better have something better up his sleeve in the summer. Praising him did not work in our favor last time, it didn't unsettle them and the fans got behind him.

So far this has been a complete waste of a year for Rooney, United aren't going anywhere this season. They could do what we did in the CL when we were poor in the league, but any half decent team will rip them apart IMO

From Rooney:

" Agreed with the manager and the medical team that some warm weather training and recuperation would help this niggling injury I have been trying to play through. Gutted I am not available for selection tomorrow, but sure the lads will give everything to get the right result. As I said earlier today the crowd can help the team's confidence massively so hopefully everyone will get behind the lads and stay with them and the manager throughout the game."

Doesn't really sound like a guy who's itching to leave does it? This whole situation wreaks of desperation on United's part to suck up to Rooney and pamper him so he stays. Make him feel special. Why isn't RvP sent on a cushy holiday or any of the other injured players?

I think Wayne will get another giant contract from United and Moyes will look like a hero.

Rooney may look stupid, but I doubt he'll sign any extensions before utd secure top 4.

If I were Mourinho I'd do an Arsenal and throw a bid for him the day before we face them just for the laugh! That would get back at them for 'leaking' that bullshit story in the summer about a Mata/Luiz trade.

I don't see Rooney hanging around for another year to play in the Europa League, they won't challenge for the title either, unless they get some major signings in the summer. He's 28, 4 years left at the very top of his game? I just don't see him investing that time into being part of a United rebuild.

Who knows

Recently I have been posting with the words "what I expect" and today wont be different. SO what I expect to happen is us getting rid of Demba Ba and Eto'ó and if we get rid of Torres, Rooney would sign with Lukaku, being a rotation option.

Texting him this should help:

After Weighing up all the pro's and Cons of signing Rooney, I think he would be a good purchase. Although he is getting on, he is still a proven goalscorer and is a real worker for his team and another important factor is ...he's English, born, bred and trained

He could buy himself out of his contract in June for £12m because he is over 28 years old and only got a year left. Roman should give him £12m to do it and then we sign him on a free, making him costing us nothing on paper apart from wages as the money would be coming directly from Roman pocket.

I am not over keen on signing Rooney ,,, i am afraid of another Sheva Veron or Torres .. He is starting to pick up injuries ,,I fear If we get him he would break down .

thats my concern too but if the price isnt too exreme id be willing to gamble. but im a big Rooney fan so that may cloud my judgement a bit. :)

The big story on Sky Sports this morning is that “Jose Mourinho silent on Wayne Rooney interest”. Jose said “We play Man United in a few days. I don’t think it’s nice to speak about a Man United player.”

so the BIG story is NO story ,,, :fainthv9::fainthv9::fainthv9:

Okay, rooney has been picking up too many injuries for my liking and is beginning to remind me of essien's injury problems. He'll be 29-30 by next season and his injury problems can only get worse. Looks like a risky option to me.

I'm I the only one that is no longer keen on getting rooney anymore?
