We have Torres who did well in Europe, Ba who did well in the league, as well as Lukaku. Now we have a manager everyone respects and wants to impress. 2011, Rooney and Hernandez were under 20 goals each. We have three forwards who are each capable of reaching double digits in goals, not to mention with Mourinho under their guidance

Torres did well in the Europa League, against mediocre opposition. Ba did well at Newcastle in the league not with Chelsea. Lukaku did well in the league but he isnt ready to lead our line or compete with the likes of Van Persie or Aguero.

Man Utd had Van Persie along with Rooney and Hernandez. Torres scored 1 league goal in 2013!!! Ba didnt do much better either. The difference is apparent. Anyone who cant see is blind.

Rooney needs to hand in a transfer request as soon as he gets back from international duty. Before the league season starts.

If he doesn't, just get fucking Suarez. Unlike Rooney, I don't see any way Suarez pulls on a Liverpool shirt again. He can be had in my opinion. Yeah, it'll upset some people here but once he starts winning us games in the league and helping us advance in the Champions League people will come around.

Yet if you are basing on goals and assists, you will realize that the only stand out performers from both City and United were the strikers, their midfield was either sub par or average. Ours on the other had, was outstanding. If we are to have our defenders and attackers contain the same amount of quality/consistency our attacking midfielders showed last season, we will be in the right direction, which is why Mourinho was hired.

Demba Ba never had a good run of games and had a knock during his small tenure with us. He still however impressed on his debut and got us crucial goals in important games. Torres's main flaw was inconsistency, but in cup matches, he tended to find the back of the net quite regularly like it or not. Got us an important goal in the final against a very good Benfica side.

Lukaku has proven himself in the league and is most undoubtedly ready to lead our front line. People are so thrived by throwing the 'inexperience' label, when he has proven time and time again he shows the hunger and drive to excel. He is so mature for his age and more than accomplished his goals at his loan spell at West Brom. He's been patient with us, why can't we be patient with him? A class and quality footballer that he is? If he struggles, he struggles. If he excels, he excels. I'll support him either way. Why do most Chelsea fans find it ever so difficult to be patient? Immediate success has always been the sort of mindset. Is it too much to ask to be patient with our players and squad and allow them to blossom into the potential they are capable of becoming?

There are only 3 world class strikers available atm, the rest are staying or have moved on:

Rooney-£35-£40m and £200-£250k per week

Suarez-£45-£55m and £100k per week

Jackson Martinez-40m euros and very low wages compared to other players, maybe around £50-£70k

Now if we don't get either of these 3 there are no point getting anyone else because they will not be improving our team.

Don't know about this Jackson Martinez. What is he like?

I'd go for the latter.

I'd love to know how you know what wages these guys will be on.

With transfer requesy he will solve everything.

But he needs to submit it. Another week passed and nothing happened, even though there was a huge talk before it. As I said, if he wants to leave, he needs to submit it and forget about all the bonuses ffs. If he doesn't do it, then he doesn't really want to leave.

For god's sake Rooney, just submit the transfer request if you really want to leave. If you don't submit it, then fuck off. This is becoming pretty annoying.

I agree. He has supposedly been 'on the brink of handing in the transfer request' for weeks now but nothing has happened. If he really wants to go, he should let everyone know like Suarez has done or just shut the fuck up and apologize to the United fans.

Provides depth and hasn't suffered from injury in a while. As I've stated, his flaw is his inconsistency which has horrifically made him look average. He has shown moments of quality and hopefully Mourinho brings out some consistency from him and the entire squad. Him and Ba are decent options to have on the bench and many are forgetting we still have the best manager in the league. If he has faith in his strikers, so should we

I agree. Even though Torres is just a massively frustrating player and I'd love to see him far far away from the club, we have to fact that we won't get rid of him any time soon, so we have to make the best out of him. Atm he is an average striker but when he gets some consistency, he will be half-decent player. Nothing you'd expect from a 50m signing, but hey, what can we do?
