Wayne Rooney

Yeah i know it but and Man U is a great team.

But what's the most important thing for him? Money and being the second fiddle and being the main target again.

This choice is not simple at all

The choice is simple IMO, he stays at United and is a bit part player to a manager who calls him a 'Back up'

Or

He comes here to a manager that appreciates him, gets his favorite position and earns just as much.

Top post, if Rooney wants to go it would be difficult for the board to keep him but the main question remains that are the board convincing Rooney to stay or are they waiting for a transfer request of him.I still dont understand why he wants to go.

It all stemmed from the Real game and his over-bearing self-worth. He assumes he should start every game 'cause his name is Wayne Rooney. If memory serves I think he was going through a tough patch and Fergie simply weighed things up and decided we couldn't afford to give Real the ball needlessly - a Rooney trait. He went for Nani and got the call totally correct. Nani had Madrid worried every time he got the ball. In the end he was the difference. If that incident with the referee didn't happen we would of probably put them out.

Why couldn't he accept that? He could of played the next games possibly. Real under Jose were far too devastating on the counter to play both Nani and Rooney. Playing our most explosive player over Rooney was a stroke of genius if it had of played out fairly. There is no 'me' in team. End of the day he's went to see SAF frustrated and said something he didn't mean. I mean look at all the players who have left United. Even Ronaldo hasn't achieved the same level of success. I don't think even Rooney is stupid enough to overlook this.

It looks like he's trying to let it all blow over by staying extremely quiet.

By reading you it seems ineluctable that Wayne will go.The change of manager isnt helping him because its Moyes, and the supporters (not only you) lost a lot of respect and esteem for Rooney, and personally of course as a Chelsea fan it is difficult to not want him, but most, I think José is the best man to coach such players and it is so clear that Rooney would be perfect here, I hope United's board wont make the move too difficult.

Starting to think we haven't lodged a 2nd bid yet because there could be some sort of gentlemans agreement between the clubs to do business after we play Utd end of August. Why else would Jose and the club be so confident of getting him.

I would not be surprised if Rooney has been told Utd will negotiate with us after that game, and that is why he has not handed in his TR. Because he knows he probably isnt going to need it. I wonder if Rooney misses the game due to a "knock"

If he doesnt play in that game, I'd bet my house he is joining

I don't think Rooney is staying quiet to let things blow over. He has had almost 3 months to release some sort of statement just saying he is sorry and wants to knuckle down and play. He hasn't. During this whole saga of being angry and confused, he has not once come out and denied anything the papers have said, or his reps/agent haven't. Whether it be the fact he wants to leave because Fergie is still about, wants to come to Chelsea and his heart is set on it, has already told Moyes and Ed Woodward he still wants to go via telephone.

The silence is deafening, and the non-denials, or even statements committing himself to Utd, are proof his head is already elsewhere.

The biggest hint for me was what SAF said. He knew it wasn't an official transfer request yet he made it known what Rooney had been up to. He knew after that it would be hard for Rooney to recover with the fans. Half of us still hadn't forgiven him for the first time. Then add this, and you have a bad situation. However it isn't a given, since Moyes is now the man to make the decision. I think if SAF had been carrying on he was a goner for sure.

Moyes looks like he wants to give him a chance though and that is the most likely for me at the minute simply because of how quiet the Rooney camp is. The manager change might act as a reset for him, but a lot of us won't forget.

I think its more like " Dont come with a second bid until we get a replacement (Cesc)."

I cant see the reason why they should be afraid if Rooney plays for us at OT. We will definately destroy them, with or without Rooney.
