We Hate Scouse 10,326
Roman should buy Napoli FC. Is only way to have Cavani. To be fair it probably wouldn't be far off €63 million to buy them.... iceboy
Leif 6,006
Hig is like a better version of Gomez. Don't want. Would rather spunk our budget on Cavani still.
Stevenx1313 17
@ChelsTransfer: Chelsea are ready to turn to Higuain for 35m, should Napoli continue to demand the 63m release clause for Cavani #CFC #RMCF (Mediaset)I doubt this is true, if it is.. might aswell spend an extra 13m for cavani rather then completely waste 35m for higuain
Avroneel Biswas 17
I think, we should buy Drogba once again rather buying Higuain

Would rather spunk our budget on Cavani still.in terms of goal scoring Gomez is better. higuain though is technically better. but both are nothing for us in my opinion. would rahter pay 60 m and get cavani and sort this position out for a few years. Hutcho 8,443
I don't mind buying Higuain as a cheap option. But for 15 mil. Not 35.
chrismada9 1,948
63M for Cavani is just stupid and ridiculous, surely he's not worth that amount of money! But I do hope that we don't let Man City lay their hands on him, and we get their second fiddle striker Edin Dzeko at the end of it... that would be like them spanking our arses! It's bad enough we lost to them back to back in the States last month, which... dare I say, was a stupid tour in the first place, no offence to anyone who went to those two matches and enjoyed them! And 35M for Higuain!? ... I almost choked on my sandwich seeing that! ... and at the end, I laughed!

They are at different ends of the spectrum when it comes to being over/underrated. Sheva.
The Mak 4,459
Not sure if I buy this stuff about Madrid and City from his mother. Especially if he said himself the other day that he's not sure Spanish football would suit him.It could very well be the case that we've been the only ones giving solid offers, they just aren't to the liking to Napoli, and this is their way of getting us to up the ante. Maybe it's a bit of wishful thinking, but it's not crazy....
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
So on top of Schurrle, we need a Backup GK, A DM, CF and possibly a CB. There's also talk of Van Ginkel...Sorry, I don't see us getting all these targets.

Now that is brilliant for 2 friendly matches and we didn't do it 'for fun', we did it for business.Sorry to tell this to you but you don't get top strikers for around £15-£20m anymore. Well you could get Mario Gomez for that but should we rally have to settle for that guy? The club have bid 50m euros for Cavani, why not make it £10m more and we will get him? There's also talk of Van Ginkel...Sorry, I don't see us getting all these targets.Actually we are if Marin and Torres are sold/loan out. Backup gk is NOT NEEDED, Blackman can play there and we will recall Courtois next season so seem pretty silly to buy a GK who will only stay for one season and play cup matches. We will get a DM too, Van Ginkel is one himself in case you didn't know...CB there are a few around and we will probably get one like Mangala. CF is Jovetic/Gomez/Cavani, we will get one of them too no matter what. So we will hit all these targets

We definitely need a decent 2nd choice GK. We Hate Scouse

I certainly wouldn't.We definitely need a decent 2nd choice GK.Well that is why we should put a recall clause in Courtois's loan contract with Atletico then and that we can recall him at any time we want in the season. And if Cech was injuried and rule out for 2 months then that is the end of his starting Chelsea career I am afraid, he will sit on the bench even if he get his fitness back because Courtois will start regularly from 2013-14 season or he will leave which the board won't allow. Either way I doubt the club will sign any new no2, all the good ones like Cesar, Fulham GK...etc won't come to sit on the bench. So we will end up signing someone like Turnbull again which would be stupid seeing we just let him leave.

United have Lindegaard, City have Pantillimon, Spurs have Friedel, Arsenal have Fabianski, Stoke have Sorensen, QPR had Rob Green... That's just from the top of my head as well. There is no reason we shouldn't be able to find a competent 2nd choice goalkeeper, especially one that's better than Turnbull.
