The other existing topic is closed and this article has direct quotes from Neymar himself, so am opening this new topic. Maybe the mods can merge the two later on.

Brazilian wonderkid Neymar has reignited Chelsea hopes of signing him after he hinted at a possible deal next year.

He told SunSport: "It would be great to get the chance to play for Chelsea. I feel excited about it."

"To play for Chelsea would be an honour. Everything they have to offer is attractive to me."

The Blues were involved in a very public tug-of-war for the highly rated player which even resulted in legend Pele getting involved and eventually ended in a stalemate.

Chelsea reportedly had a £25 million bid turned down by Santos.

"They have big players, they are in big competitions, they have a strong squad and I like the way they play," Neymar said.

"Top players want to be part of something like that. I'm no different. But I'm happy at Santos.

"If I left it wouldn't be because Santos isn't a good place to be but only because the Premier League is a higher level."

Pele was against Neymar's move from Brazil to England beacause he felt the 18-year-old was not ready for the Premiership.

Neymar told SunSport on Tuesday: "It wasn't the right time for me to go in the summer but I will be much better prepared for it by next year.

What is the point?

Santos won't let him leave easily and the buy out clause of his new contract is way too much. He had the chance to come, but fucked around and missed it. The likelyhood of him coming with such a more amount would be last to none, if it really was his 'dream' to come and he wasn't ready we could have loaned him back, but that wasn't the done deal.

I knew this would come around again, many people were still/still are tipping him to join us in the future. We offered £25mil a couple of months ago, i'm sure we would still be willing to pay it.

As far as i'm aware, Santos were not willing to accept a loan deal. The buyout clause means nothing, Santos could still accept less if the player wanted to leave, if they were not willing to do that we could trigger the minimum release clause and they would HAVE to let him leave.

His attitude would definitely be sorted out here as well, there is no way CA would stand for him acting up. It's just because he is used to being the big fish in the small pond over there he has gained his ego.

I know he has an attitude but what the hell people? This guy is the future of Brazilian football, the guy who will eventually be Brazil's main man, why would we not want to sign him? You know who else had attitude problems? Didier Drogba but he hasnt done too badly at our club, the same goes for Nic Anelka whose nickname was "Le Sulk" but has been an absolute gem of a signing. Perhaps playing at a big club (which its clear is where he wants to be playing rather than in Brazil) under guidance from the likes of Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Ancelotti Im sure his attitude problems would soon resolve themselves in much the same way Danny Sturridge's have. This guy has got it, a special talent who we can build our team around. If we can make this happen it would be one of the best transfers, if not the very best, of the Roman era.

one of the best prospects in football world and as the big drog and slam dunk has pointed before his attitude problems will be sorted out because let's face it he will be playing for the EPL champions and one of the biggest teams in europe along with the likes of Terry , Lamps and Drogba and also having a lot of very promising players like Kakuta , McEacheran and Sturridge means he will not be the focal point of his team and in training he won't feel like he is a football god as he feels right now with santos ..... so that will either increase his power and will for the greater good like what happened with ronaldo at the start of his career or worst case scenario if he is having attitude problems we will sell him and may be make some profit out of him .
