Tomo 21,751
David Luiz deal was on and off for the best part of a year, Alex was on and off for the best part of 4 years, Robinho deal was on until 10pm on deadline day. Apparently David Luiz wanted to go to City over us, apparently Ronaldinho vowed he will never go to Chelsea in 2006 especially under Mourinho, then in 2007 he was trying to force a move then in 2008 was begging to go to Chelsea when Scolari took over.Brazilians and transfers = long, messy saga. MetsajCFC 1,255
If Abramovic wants him, we'll have him. If not, we'll have someone else (possibly get him next year/ January unless he moves to another club by then), easy as that.

Peace. 4,352
If Lukaku really is coming. We might as well wait till 2014 to sign him.Why ?Ffs, if he doesn't want to come to Europe right now and to play one or two more season in Brazil, can't we just buy him and loan him back to Santos ??!! Or at least a pre-agreement... That would be a good piece of deal for each parties. We will be sure to get him once he makes the choice to move and Santos could keep him longer. All in all, maybe it ain't that bad if he stays one more season there. He could sharp his game and his physic, and get maturity. He will get a lot of playing time as well. And it would be better for him (thus his team) if he is in Brazil when his baby comes to life. With Lukaku, Drogba, Sturridge, Torres, we've got a good attack sorted for the coming season. So if there's some agreement then it would be okay and we'd get to focus on the midfield more by upping pressure for Pastore.

I guess we are agreed on this point.Yeah, to buy him next season will afford us more fund, and we will be able to compete for someone like Pastore, and buy one or two other midfielders (of course, the likes of Nasri, Modric, etc..) plus one right winger (or use our academy). For the left wing we can keep either Zhirkov or Malouda for one more year...It might ain't be that bad after all...

LDN Blue 7,903
The rumour is, there's been a 2hour meeting where an agreement with NEYMAR has been made. Not Santos. So even if it's true, the hard part is yet to come unfortunately. Though that's a big if.
