At the age of 23 he was the regular starter of a double winning team in the toughest league of the world.

Ill give you that he was good that year, in fact he particularly impressed me then more than any other time but that was the exception imo.

He did that in last season. He again started good from this season. Why can't he get the trust from the fans of his own club?

Agree ,,,he invented it ,,,but Mikel is proving a very good imitator and has years to improve ..He also has qualities Maka hadnt

Mikel was a red card magnet in the past, but he seems to be getting better about that. He doesn't do anything to distinguish himself now. In the role he plays, I consider that a good thing.

You don't get to play regular and first team football at a club like Chelsea under 3 world class managers (Mourinho,Guus,Ancelotti) unless you are good. These experienced managers must have recognized something you fail to see in mikel

I felt last season he was most consistent member ofour disappointing midfield. It was too much to expect his contribution and the efforts of the

praiseworthy Ramirez to make up for the rest

Some feel that if a player doesn't do anything that stands out, they have "disappeared" and therefore have no bearing on the match. Mikel's role demands he be anonymous. If he does something that stands out, it's probably because he made a costly mistake.
