Rooney limped off the field at the end of the game. Not sure how serious it's gonna be, however that would be some massive boost for us ahead of the clash.

even if rooney is not injured ... i think bayern have just given as the recipe to beating united and its pretty simple we need to cover more miles and play with a lot of passion .....

when they pressured by bayern they seemed to not know what they are doing and rooney was completely lonely and isolated but if he is injured ..... there is no way they are gonna win ....

i am not underestimating them but the only player they have that can turn the game is rooney if he is injured it should be an easy one but even if he is not ..... having terry and alex in defence should easily handle wayne and the rest of man u cant do anything without his help all of their gameplay and their plan is focused on one thing ....support rooney !!!!

so our defence game should be as simple as isolate rooney not just by marking him because he proved it's not easy but by applying pressure they wont be able to give him the support he needs

Manure without Rooney are not the same team.

We can afford to leave Drogba on the bench and still hump Villa 7-1.....that'll put the frighteners right up them going into this game. We'll be right up for this and we know what we have to do.

Losing Rooney will but a bit of doubt in their minds and it will affect how they approach the game. I expect Manu to pack the midfield and play with one up front, so we'll have to get at their full backs. Neville was shite tonight and Malouda has been on fire in recent weeks, so I think he'll have a massive say in how we play on Saturday.

Well, Nani also has been pretty good at times at the right flank. Hopefully Zhirkov has a good game and wrap him up, wich i am sure he does with his current form . And ofcourse we have don't have Ivanovic or Bosingwa @ RB, but Paulo Ferreira wich could be a weak spot in our defence.

After all, there hasn't been any confirmation of Rooney's injury and how bad it is, fingers crossed

I cant see rooney playing in saturday he could not even put weight on his foot and he looked in a bad state. I think we will smash united 4-0 and really rub it in their faces !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it wasn´t for Van der Sar it could´ve been a 4:1 for Munich. The lads really put a good shift in, good physical play by Bayern. Hope Rooney is okay..eh....well...you cannot whish someone a serious injury can you.

i can see where you are coming from as they have played today and we should be more fresh and more focused not having another UCL fixture next week and because a win now is a must we should be more determined ...

but i see people talking about a 4-0 already !!!!!!

as much as we all would love to see that .... but one of Chelsea's problems this season has been overconfidence by our stars like wigan . hull . westham . blackburn .....

so i wish that this time carlo will be able to get the best out of all the players and to motivate them .... we can see from today's game that bayern had to cover a lot of ground to trouble united so we have to put a lot of effort and work into this one we need to be 120% focused ....... only if that happens we can win the game....

Ancelotti's comments that ManU playing in the Champion's league would be their undoing has turned into an incredible premonition. The last 2 minutes of today's match was absolutely demoralizing. If the blue and white army shows up and plays to form, I'm thinking a sweet 3-0 victory.
