Not that in demand? lol... Managers/players of his quality get to choose where they go. They don't hop on the first available job.

He is literally the biggest and best available out there at the moment.

Some of you will do anything to spin it negatively.

Let's hope he's given the autonomy to his project, and there's a semblance of back to consistent winning

Many managers first foray into the PL is chaotic. Glad you're excited about it. I can't, sorry, but well done.

Let’s not take the piss here, Alonso was the best manager available in terms of reputation based of what he has done since becoming a manager and what he achieved as a player. He could have easily waited for a more stable proposition to surface but for some bizarre reason he has chosen to join us. This surely means he has been given certain guarantees to steady the ship from the turmoil at The Bridge.

For me, this appointment is great but we need to see who we get in player wise in this coming window. It’s vital we bring in experience & QUALITY, not a bunch of lower tier or mid tier bozos like Tosin & Garnacho.

Makes sense from his perspective. He's been looking for a way into the Premier League and we are the biggest club where there's a job opening this summer.

Premier League is now the league of a handful of managers from Basque country - Arteta, Emery, Iraola,

Ex Scouse fucker, no PL manager experience and can see him taking us down the garden path

He's won the league in one of Europe's top 5 leagues. Is there someone with PL manager experience who has the body of work of Alonso?

Well...I can think of two ex-Chelsea bosses, the Italian mafia and the current England head coach 😆

I don't like this appointment, so argue alone......but I'm telling you all this will not make one difference if he isn't given full control

There are 10 players he needs to get rid of, and hopefully in that lot is Palmer

Jesus Christ....such negativity....give it a f**king rest mate

This is a “we’ve finally seen the error in our ways and stopped fucking around” appointment which is what the club have been briefing for a few weeks. You have to hand them that even if we hate them.

But the managerial appointment alone is not the cure that turns us around like the snap of your fingers. They now have to follow-up on their other press briefing thag they will let the manager dictate what and who he needs rather than the club forcing mediocre bums on him.

We need a surgical, 2014 like summer where we quickly and clearly identified a few top level players who plugged right in and hit the ground running instantly.
