The Next Manager?

I don't like this appointment, so argue alone......but I'm telling you all this will not make one difference if he isn't given full control

There are 10 players he needs to get rid of, and hopefully in that lot is Palmer

Wow I can't believe it.

They have really changed if they appointed him.

He is a top coach for him....however we need to see if the club are serious this summer.

Great appointment but let’s see how the transfer window goes before we say they have changed.

I agree. This is step in the right direction but it needs to be follow up with summer transfer. That they have really reconsider their position.

Ex Scouse fucker, no PL manager experience and can see him taking us down the garden path

Lol, Xabi is already one of the best managers in Europe and has way more experience than Maresca and Liam.

Let’s see how they operate in the market before making a proper prediction

Almost as interesting as who Alonso targets to bring in is who he identifies as not in his plans. Can’t imagine him fancying the likes of Delap, Garnacho, Tosin, Badiashile etc.

I pray he is completely ruthless and we don’t have to go through this “I want to have a look at these guys closely before I decide” bullshit. We’ve known that certain players are not Chelsea quality for ages. Get them gone ASAP. And that same ruthlessness should sadly apply to Lavia as well who cannot be depended upon.

The club NEED to allow him this authority.

This is critical.

Otherwise March/April 2027 ''It is with regret the club have decided to part company with Xabi Alonso by mutual agreement we wish him the best''
