The Next Manager?

Although we are different quality to Sunderland you only need to look at Dick Advocaat to see the potential danger of deciding to coax Guus out of retirement, even if he says yes.

The full time job is a different kettle of fish to a 'save us' interim spell, Advocaat came back last summer, looked unmotivated and disinterested and looked every bit like a man who was persuaded to do something he didn't really want to do, the result? He walked after a failed attempt at full time job. There is a danger that could happen with Hiddink, and he is on the way to another brilliant interim spell, do we really want to taint that with a flop go at the full time job?

Also he hasn't enterily convinced me with his team selections and tactics (unlike 2009 when he was a genius in that regard, completely  took Rafa to the cleaners and nullified a Barca side sweeping all before them), not really a problem in this interim spell because his main task is to get the feel good factor and momentum back (which he is doing a great job with), but next season that could be a problem when it comes to competing with Pep and possibly Jose (won't include Klopp because that Liverpool team are such a state they won't be in the top four for another two years minimum).

If he is similar to the younger version of Mourinho, then I'm all for it.

Every young outspoken manager is "similar to Mourinho" for british press.

Are there any other examples of Conte's use of youth. There's obviously Pogba, but what about him promoting players from the academy?

there are none

he's had a youthful team, but saying he's used the youth system? pa

If that doesn't show the English journalists' ignorance towards the other leagues, then I don't know what will.

Sure, Conte is not exactly the calmest of managers like Ancelotti, Hiddink etc and can be a bit feisty but he's certainly not like Mourinho who has a tendency to go over the line. Doubt you'll see Conte having unnecessary pops at other managers (funny as they may be when Mourinho does it), poking someone else in the eye, shouting at physios because they apparently do not understand football to name a few.

We will have to give him some pointers against Wenger.

Seems like he's tailor made for Chelsea. Solid defensive motivator. Not sure if the 3-5-2 would fly in Chelsea, or in the PL for that matter. Tbh I'd rather give Hiddnik a shot at a full season with players of his choice.
