JaKstone 307
He used to be a pretty good player!"Used to" expresses the idea that something was an old habit that stopped in the past. It indicates that something was often repeated in the past, but it is not usually done now.
The Chels 2,502
It was funny listening to Jamie Redknapp mention how no team would have even thought about targeting Ivanovic as weakness last year. Gus Poyet was on the show and just staring at Redknapp in apparent agreement but I'm pretty sure targeting our right side is exactly what he (Gus) did in the 0-0 last year. If I recall correctly it was an effective tactic and Sunderland were unlucky not to win that game. Blue-in-me-Veins

Henrique 9,133
Says it all. Get out of my club you absolute helmet. He's been useless defensively for a while now but his goals/assist tally saved him last season. I actually laughed when this happened, totally utterly disgraceful to call this shower of shite our best right back. Azpi is twice the player and ten times the warrior he is. FUCK OFF.am i the only who really laughed during the game when that happened?Geez, the man looked like an amateur there.

Yet he has played more minutes this season than any other player. There seems a reluctance to switch Cesar Azpilicueta from left back and introduce Baba Rahman, signed from Augsburg in August for £21.7million.‘Baba Rahman doesn’t know what it is to play in this kind of championship,’ said Mourinho. ‘He needs time to adapt. At the same time, every team is a team of giants. 'If you don’t have a minimum of five tall players good in the air, you are dead on set-pieces. When I play Azpilicueta and Baba, I have only three.’That is just . Sir Mikel OBE, Amblève. and Bosnian Blue

Jase 43,479
If Jose is so concerned about height, we might as well just put Zouma at left back and have Azpi replace Ivanovic at right back. The LB is not Zouma's natural position but he can't do any worse than what Ivanovic is doing at RB. stroey and xPetrCechx

Hybrid Angel 2,130
Another piece of delusion by Jose. One of Ivanovic's biggest weaknesses is his ability to track the man he is marking at a set piece. How does him being tall helps at all when he can't properly defend in the air?Sometimes I wonder, do we watch the same games as Jose does? That's probably when Jose knew to go for Ashley Cole Fulham Broadway and DYC.
manpe 10,861
Oh my word, Jose isn't helping his case at all with comments like these. Hugely facepalmable quotes all over the article. The man in probably the worst form of all is Jose himself. Bummer we can't substitute him once in a while.By the way, here's an idea while we're at it. If it's height he's worried about, then why not drop Fabregas and put in RLC, who is even taller than Ivanovic. Then you have the same number of giants without Brana while also being able to field a proper defensive line and improved midfield. Problem solved, crisis averted.
