I’d replace Gallagher with mount so at least one of our three midfielders can play dangerous forward passes. Playing the way we are one of sterling or Pulisic need to show for the ball with the other on the shoulder of nearest CB trying to get in behind. Currently both are just hiding behind West Ham midfielders.

He really isn't the issue. RLC shouldn't be in this squad once everyone is back.

I mean its not real possession football. We aren't bouncing it around in their half and threatening. It is just our CBs passing it back and forth at the half way line.

Think both Gallagher and RLC are both just so desperate to get into and stay in the team that they play it extremely cautiously and safe. Afraid to make a shocker of a mistake and not see the pitch again for months. And then Kova doesn’t look his usual self. He looks slow and way off the pace.

Due to all of that there is no link between those 3 and Sterling or Pulisic at all.

This has all the hallmarks of a 0-1 sucker punch from a corner or Antonio jammy counter attack.

When you play with wingbacks they have to get to the byline inside the 18 with cut backs to the top of the six/penalty spot area. But our midfield can’t seem to make those defence splitting passes to allow this to happen.

Need to start going for it. We've dropped too many points this early in the season to settle and play so passive. 

Drop Conor and a defender for Broja and Mount. We're so worried about teams who park the bus that we need all that coverage?
