How about Hector Bellerin in lieu of Adama Traore for the right wing back role if he will fancy the move and want to win trophy... I would also love Lautauro Martinez if Jadon Sancho ends up in United(though I will be gutted going to that shit defensive team). As Martinez is South American he has that steel vibe and aura suitable for premier league though not yet a clinical finisher yet he is class and on his way of becoming a deadly world class finisher...Because Haaland Kane and Lukaku transfer will not happen.... Might as well save our money and use Livramento instead. Alabama
Pizy 18,952
Every option is going to be off the table pretty quickly by the look of it. Any teeny, tiny sliver of hope for Haaland will be gone if they sell Sancho to United. So that’ll be literally every striker we’ve been linked with (Aguero, Kane, Lukaku, Haaland) out of reach before we’ve really even got started. Is that kid from Fiorentina good enough to take a punt on?
Jype 6,398
If all top striker options are out of the question for this summer, I probably wouldn't mind sticking with Havertz in the false 9 role and Werner / Broja other options depending on tactical setup. Seems like a better bet than going for some second rate option who'd still cost a lot of money. Would prefer Tammy to stay if that's the case but he looks too far gone and Tuchel clearly doesn't rate him. Choosing not to spend on a striker would likely leave a massive budget for improving other areas. Then just need to win back-to-back CLs and get Haaland next year. 🤣

For starters Eredivisie > Belgian League any day and not to mention Broja is a full three years younger than Ugbo, at such young age being 19 or 22 makes a massive difference. Can't see much of a future at the club for Ugbo (the club even allowed a buy option for his latest loan) but for Broja the club seem to be very much invested in his future, hence contract extension plans and invite for pre-season. killer1257

Yeah, Ugbo will be sold in my opinion to raise some cash.
Superblue 6,372
The price would have to be drastically lower than previous years, but would Zaha be a potential option? His versatility to be comfortable to play across the front three, and most importantly he could play the central role in a false 9 capacity could make him a very useful rotational option. If Palace are still wanting £70m then it's a complete no go, but if there demands have climbed down significantly (say the £40m bracket) then it might be worth a punt. Particularly as I don't think a signing like him hinders the potential to go in for a top striking option next summer that may become available, but in the meantime he would offer a very good attacking option and chip in with some goals. We do have players who may be attractive to Palace who could help us cut a very reasonable price possibly.

As a player type Zaha would be way too similar for the lot we already have, and also not even close to being as good. No need to buy just for the sake of buying and the only attacking players we should be going after are ones who would elevate the team to a new level. Otherwise no point and better to just start hoping Werner, Havertz, Pulisic can start scoring more goals at a similar rate as they have in the past. I mentioned the other day that we could be getting to the point with striking options where we'd need to question whether it's better to stick with Tammy next season as a striking option to go with Havertz and Werner. But if we end up letting Giroud and Tammy leave, we're then left with Werner, Havertz, Mount, Pulisic and Ziyech (you could argue Hudson Odoi too, although he may be better off trying to continue developing as an attacking wing back option for Tuchel). Essentially though 5 players across 3 spots in a season which could stretch to around 60 games with the Super Cup and World Club Cup added alongside the usual comps is not enough. Especially when the only two so far who have proven to be durable are Werner and Mount. If top targets are unobtainable, it could end up boiling down to just how prepared Tuchel may be to still work with Tammy. Otherwise we're going to have to sign someone for those attacking spots. Atomiswave 6,118
Saul is quality, he would be a good fit for us and TT's style, a hard worker with a great engine.....if its true that we are interested then DR is off the table I reckon

He might not be ready for a big role and might never be good enough, but he's had a good season out on loan and seems to be developing in the right direction. He would still likely be a decent enough choice for some cup games and the occasional sub appearance here and there to ease the load off others. Definitely a much better option than spending a ton of money on someone like Wilfried Zaha or a stop-gap striker like Danny Ings or whoever. I really hope Tuchel and the board make wise decisions this summer. Either go all-in to get the top targets or don't sign anyone for the position. The squad is already deep enough (in some areas maybe even too deep) and the problem is definitely not quantity, it's quality. If the top attacking targets are unavailable this year, spend the budget on improving other areas (ie. midfield, perhaps CB) and go back next year. That's where the club have done horribly wrong in the past by getting likes of Zappacosta, Barkley etc. rather than wait out and target top quality later on. So, just like the good old days then? Wait till the last minute and then panic buy because we can't get the main target? Haaland is pretty much out of the question this summer, especially if/when Dortmund do sell Sancho. Lukaku could still happen if Inter can't sell 1-2 others to raise the money they need but even then, do wonder if they are desperate enough to sell their best player and face another backlash from their fans after what happened with Conte last week. Even if Tuchel does make a U-turn on Abraham, it's debatable how much of a role is he gonna give him - is he gonna be a starter or rotation option? Right now, Abraham has only 2 years left on his contract and he hasn't signed a new one because I think he wants to play week in week out. He didn't even just sign it when Lampard was still around. If he's not going to sign it, then the club would want to cash in on him this summer as opposed to next summer. OhForAGreavsie
cosmicway 1,333
Lukaku is afraid of the premier so he decided to stay in Italy. I kind of liked him in 2017 when United beat us to the post but not now. I 'd like Haaland or Kane or perhaps Lew despite his age (32).
DDA 9,941
So basically we are fucked... because if we don't get a prolific, out and out goalscorer for next season... there will be another year of heartache of missed chances game in, game out.
