Who would you go for ?

Clearlake have got far more midfield, attacking signings right than they have defensive signings. Only Cucurella is a success.

Murillo.

I'm willing to pay 80 million for him.

If we want someone cheaper and I'm so so on him is Hincapie. I think with Alonso leaving he might want to go. But to me he is not at the level of Murillo, he is good but not someone I will lose my sleep if we don't get him.

I do wonder if Marquinhos is up for a new challenge since he won the CL. I will like him ala Silva.

Another attacking signing after Pedro and Gittens feels super ill-advised from our POV until we sell a few unwanted attackers. It gives the other teams who are interested in our players leverage in negotiations because they’ll know we’re under big pressure to shift them.

Going out and spending big on Kudus at this point when we haven’t even got close to selling Nkunku, Felix, and whoever else yet doesn’t sound feasible. Unfortunately, by the time we’ll be able to move these guys some of the more premium options out there will have been snapped up.

Kudus would be a pure luxury player for us whereas he’d be the marquee signing for Spuds since they can’t attract bigger names. So I think he’ll end up there where I assume he walks straight into their team as a key player.

If the rumours of Kudus are true, then the one thing that Chelsea has in attack next season is elite defence.

What I mean by that is Delap, J. Pedro, Pedro Neto and Kudus are 4 of the most relentless pressers you could wish to ask for. They will hound a defence all day.

Sancho, Madueke, Jackson, Mudryk etc have/had their own qualities but they were renowned for their play off the ball. Certainly not to the level required. Might be harsh on Jackson who does work hard but it’s often at the wrong time and wrong area of the pitch to make a difference.

This might be a key reason for signing them. With Caicedo, Lavia, Santos and Essugo also snappers behind them, not to mention Cucurella, Chelsea really will have a team of turnover titans.

Think he could step up from a defensive sitting back kind of team to a pressing team?

Chelsea are enthusiastic about Antonio Silva and Hato as Cucurella's replacement and want to sign both.

🔵There is a sense that £60m may be enough to get a deal done for Kudus.

Is the first part from Guardian as well? I'd be extremely happy if that's the case but I don't believe it.

That's a different story.

If your asking me for a pressing team then my money is on Hincapie because of what Alonso did with that team, so he will more suited for that.

The only thing is that it was in Bundesliga not PL, Murillo is PL proven. Can Hincapie do it in the PL?

West Ham open to selling Kudus to Spurs while Arsenal consider move for Eze.

Neither will Hincapie be cheap - he has a contract till 2029. No reason for Bayer to sanction a cheap exit. Marquinhos won't leave a CL winning PSG and Murillo looks a tough grab from Forest as well.

The market for CBs is not great and we have a lot of CBs to shift - Disasi, Badiashile, Renato Veiga, Anselmino loan. Not expecting activity for a few weeks at CB
